Glitchers avoiding ranked losses and negating ranked wins.

There is a new problem out there my Civ Rev brothers and sisters.

I have long been concerned with the 'random' way some matches don't get registered as wins or losses on peoples' records. There does appear to be a number of these that are truly random and a result of poor programing or bad connections etc etc etc.

But... I have been tracking the events surrounding my ranked play and I can say with a fair degree of certainty that there is a new 'glitch' out there. Without giving details, essentially someone will leave the game and you will see a victory screen but will never get the win added to your ranked score. There is a variant that appears to allow you to get the win but MAY prevent the opponent from taking a loss.

This has been done to me multiple times recently in FFA ranked play. Dunno if it occurs in H2H.

And before you ask... yes, I am a genius, Yes, I did come up with a reasonable way to counter certain kinds of cheaters and freezers (with El Thrasher's assistance in testing and refining of course! If you forget how or that thread has been lost to the archives PM me and I'll give you the counter to pause glitchers) but NO, I have been unable to even conceive of a way to prevent this new one. I am going away for a couple weeks but when I get back I will scan my messages here and perhaps someone else will have a solution or be willing to test it out with me. Be forewarned: if you volunteer to test with me, your ranked score may suffer a buncha losses as we try to figure this out, but I think it is worth it...

There is a way to counter this glitch/cheat, I did call this the connec cheat a good while ago, and found a way to counter it and get the win or least not get the loss.
If you wan't I can PM you the details, im pretty sure it's what Alitaba66 is talking about.
This glitch/cheat will not work in h2h, and alot of people do try it from time to time.
