    Fallout:New Vegas RP[RE-OPENED FOR BUISNESS!]

    Backstory

You are a wastelander. Living in the ruins of Nevada, California. The NCR, a post-war democracy republic, has taken over most of Western California and Hoover Dam. The New California Rebulic have also successfully defended the Dam against Caesar's Legion, an army of slavers from Eastern Calfornia lead by a former member of the Followers of the Apocalypse, once due to an oversight by Caesar's Legate, Joshua Graham. As the defeat was humiliating, Caesar had him coated in pitch, set alight and thrown into the Grand Canyon.

The NCR has held the Dam ever since, but they are afraid of the Legion. If you ask their troopers what think of them, they will tell you they are "saving just one bullet for me" etc.

Meanwhile, in the New Vegas Strip, Securitrons control everything, under Mr. House's supervision. Robert House is the overlord and saviour of Las Vegas. The three big casinos, ran by different families, are all trying to take House out of the picture. The smooth Chairmen, the scamming Omertas and the suspiciously polite White Glove Society run these casinos. Chairmen own the Tops, Omertas Gomorra and the White Glove run the Ultra-Luxe.

Up in the irradiated peaks of Black Moutain, Nightkin rule the Super Mutant population, warning humans to stay away. The Nightkin also have a different home. In the snowy wilderness of Jacobstown, friendly Nightkin and Super Mutants welcome humans, aslong as there is no trouble.

Living here is no piece of cake, and you must make a choice. Will you stand with the NCR? Or will you turn against the Republic, supporting the Legion. Because out in the Mojave, every choice has its consequence...

Your very first decision is whether to side with the folk of Goodsprings or destroy this town of softies with the Powder Gangers, escaped prisoners of the NCR Correctional Facillity. Which side will you choose?

    Character Application

    S.P.E.C.I.A.L

S.P.E.C.I.A.L is your seven main attributes. I will explain it in detail. Note that you have only forty points to spend on these:

Strength: The measure of your raw physical power. It affects how much equipment you can carry.

Perception: This is how far you can see and how much you can hear, this effects when you see any enemy, or when you hear one.

Endurance: This is how much you can run and how much damage you can withstand. Obviously, this effects your Hit Points.

Charisma: This is how funny and enjoyable you are to be around. This allows you to convince some people to do things, if high enough.

Intelligence: This is obviously your combined knowledge of everything you know. If high enough, you can help some people with computer problems or see things that other don't realize.

Agility: This is how fast you are. If high enough, you can be the fastest person in the whole Mojave.

Luck: Got a headshot? Maybe it wasn't skill. Pure luck. The higher your luck, more shots that are likely to connect. Might get a Critical Hit, too.

So, that's S.P.E.C.I.A.L. The base of your character.

    Skills
Repair: The ability to repair mechanical objects. A character with high repair can fix machinery or even create basic components out of scrap.

Science:Science is the scientific know-how of a character. A character with high science can hack computers or use chemistry to make medicine or even operate machinery.

Leadership:Leadership is the ability to inspire people to your cause. A high Leadership can make people do what you
want them to, or get a group of people to follow you.

Guns: The ability to use guns. A character with higher guns can properly use larger and more powerful guns.

Energy Weapons:The ability to use energy weapons. A character with higher energy weapons can properly use larger and more powerful energy weapons.

Survival:A character with a higher survival gets more out of less. A higher survival means food gives more health and is generally better for the character.

    Factions
You will encounter many different Factions out in the Mojave. Here are the major ones:

NCR: Or New California Republic is one of the major factions you will find in the Mojave. Their numbers are far above that of the other Factions. They have special troops that are extremely lethal in any situation, called the Rangers These elite units strike fear into the hearts of their enemies and are not to be trifled with. Alongside the Rangers are the Troopers, the basic soldiers are the NCR army. Their numbers are high and can be very dangerous in groups to any one unexperenced. They are equipped with basic weapons and armour. There are also smaller groups of soldiers such as the First Recon snipers.

Brotherhood of Steel: Known throughout the Wastes as the Keepers of the Old World Technologys. Their numbers are small, however, in the Mojave. The chapter is confined to their underground bunker in Hidden Valley. They once held the HELIOS One power station, but after an being assaulted by the NCR, they were forced to retreat back to Hidden Valley. An average Brotherhood Paladin is very highly trained and well equipped, kitted out with T-51b Power Armour and either a Gauss Rifle, Plasma Rifle, Laser Rifle or Gatling Laser. Their skill and wit matches that of an NCR ranger or one of Caesar's personal guards, the Praetorian. After the Paldins are the Knights, less trained Brotherhood members, and the Scribes, who fix, and catalogue the Brotherhood findings. They also collect Brotherhood Holotags.

Caesar's Legion: They came from the southwest about 10 years ago, with two things on their minds, conquest and slavery. Led by the Malpias Legate Joshua Graham, they fought and won control of Hoover Dam, but were ultimately stopped and sent packing during the battle of Boulder City, due to Leagate Graham not finding the C4 apread out around the city. To this day the War between the Bull and Bear still rages with no apparent victor in sight. They are ruled with an iron fist by the mighty Caesar and his new bloodthirsty right-hand man Legate Lanius, who both still hold the high hopes of Victory over the NCR... But this is the wasteland and nothing is for certain.

Enclave Remants: After the defeat on the Poseidon Oil Rig and the eventual Capture of Navarro Military Base, the NCR successfully sent the Remaining Fragments of the United States of Enclave in full retreat, many heading east towards parts unknown. One such group was Kruger Squad, which made its way and fully integrated into the Mojave wasteland. The Team, with it's civilian refugees, hid all traces of their brutal past inside of an Old U.S Air Force Vertibird Refueling Dump before finally splitting. The men and women of the Former Continuity Government were highly trained in their MOS' (Military Occupational Specialties). They ranged from Pilots to Heavy Weapon Soldiers. Though out of the fight, they are still very Deadly and could pose a major threat to the wasteland.

The Kings - The Kings are a swinging group of gangsters, if they can be called that, that respect honor and personal responsibility. They 'control' Freeside, a place just north of the Vegas Strip. The Kings have maintained a stable relationship with the Followers of the Apocalypse at the Mormon Fort. As of recent, the Kings have been terrorizing NCR citizens moving to the area. While they are the local authority of Freeside, they couldn't be considered a local government, nor are they powerful enough to actually become one.

The Followers of the Apocalypse - The Followers are a group of people, that come from the NCR, that believe that to revive the wasteland, the people must be educated. They provide schooling and basic healthcare to the residents of Freeside from the Mormon Fort. They are also researchers that try to figure out how to recreate pre-war medicine. They have maintained relatively stable relations with the local authority, the Kings.
