Next era tech already done?

I'm wondering what happens if the next era's tech is already researched when the era ends?

For instance:

Current Era Tech > University (other civ will finish)
Next Era Tech > Religion (we will have complete before the other civ finishes uni)

Will we win the next era automatically following the current era win?

No it just skips over to the next on the list.

Yep, that tech then doesn't win an era. In those circumstances we try and take people off that tech until the other one is finished and then jump on to complete the tech and get the era win.
