New Gamespot SDCC Preview + The Darkness Movie Confirmed

New interview with Sheldon Carter & Marc Silvestri by GameSpot. It has plenty of great footage of the first level. Also, Marc officially confirms that a Darkness movie is in the works.

Here are some snippets of the gameplay for the first time without commentary. Notice the Darkling now has a British accent, lol.

Hmm, a Darkness movie could either be awful or amazing. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

As for the new gameplay, LOL at the British darkling. I wish the game looked darker, but it's not as colorful and fluffy as I first saw it to be.

I think that the Darkness movie would be amazing, if done right. Like with the right people and everything. I definitely don't want it to end up like Dare Devil, Elektra, and all the other failed graphic novels/ comic book movies that have come across the big screen only to fail miserably. My fingers are crossed for this one!

Aidan could work fairly well as Jackie.

I still think Josh Holloway is perfect for him though.

He's 42 years old, I don't know how convincingly he could portray Jackie considering he's supposed to be 21 (now 23 in Darkness 2).

I just hope this doesn't turn out like the Max Payne film.

Jackie looked a lot older than 21 in both the comic and the video game though.

We haven't heard too much of the music though.

I just hope that in the final retail build we'll be able to turn off the HUD/Help Text elements like in the trailers.
