    STEAM BioShock Download Issues

    Hello,

Paind $49.95 and downloaded BioSHock from STEAM on a XP/SP2 systems. Its working well.

I have a VISTA 32 Bit Ultimate system and want to run Bioshock on it and tried to use STEAM backup and it asks for a CD key??

When purchasing from STEAM I did not receive a key??

I tried loading the STEAM App on the VISTA system , ok but no games in my games tab....

Where can i get the legitimate key???

    Help..

Probably need to re-download it to your Vista system instead of using a backup folder.

I sent STEAM a 'ask question' email and waited for 4 days to get a 'rote' reply that said look at these BIOSHOCK links and see if they help.

I dont think they even read the email!!

    I reopend the issue.

I called Securom and asked them for a key.

I called W2K games and they say to talk to STEAM...

What a circle jerk...you pay $50 for a game legally, dont try to steal from them via the torrents etc..and you get NO NO NO support that is worth its hill of beans.

W2K says you can have 5 installs.

I only want one on the XP system and one on the VISTA system for testing.

WHY CANT I SIMPLY LOAD THE VISTA SYSTEM VIA STEAM????????????????

Is there anybody at W2k or STEAM that cares??

A very minor point of clarification:

STEAM is a software product created by Valve. You sent Valve the support questions, not the program. Common mistake, despite how long Valve/Steam has been around.

As for a key, when you buy stuff over Steam you don't get a key because you don't need one; the game is bound to your account, keys are redundant. All I can recommend is to make sure there's no BioShock content in Steam, redownload it all in Vista and try again (and hope the activation still works).

download steam to the vista computer, log into steam account with your username/password, download game from scratch.

With Steam, you can re-download the game as many times as you want, and on as many computers as you want (as long as you're not logged into Steam on two computers at once). You only pay once in order to tie the game to your account.

As others have said, under your "Games" tab, Bioshock should be listed under "Not Installed". Right click on it and choose "Install Game" to re-download it all.
