Is the Great Wall hax?
Grr! I was trying to set up some war, and all the nations that have anything worth warring over already have Great Wall! What's the fun of multiplayer without getting to go and stomp all over your enemies?
-
Build it yourself and proceed whacking.
-
i think there should be only 1 wall per game since its a great wonder
That is only 1 civ should have it
-
There IS only 1 wall per game.
-
Not in my game. Three different civs have it.
-
Your game might be bugged then because only 1 wonder can exist at a time.
-
Same issue here, 2 civs have it...
The fun part is that: those 2 civs are the only ones over 10 people + one of those civs built it while we were voting to invade them + we're the first ones to acceess riflemen + our cultural minister has no idea of the game, he just joined, so we can't build it now... Big chain of fails
+ I think the wall should become obsolete after some time (a wall against artillery and planes? what?), like many other wonders. I hope they will think about that kind of mecanisms for later updates.
-
I bet 2 of those civs that "have" it don't actually have it because of the missing civ bug. You can check who really has it by clicking the wonders tab in the nations screen.
-
Erm no, at least in my bugged game you can't check who really has it on the wonders tab.

The wonder tab of the Romans shows all 13 wonders which we, the Arabs possess.
-
wrong wonders tab
-
Ok, world wonders tab, not individual wonder tab, my mistake.
-
Okay, if only one civ is supposed to have it at a time, then things make more sense. I just couldn't understand why there would be a mechanism to end war by mid-game.
-
Can't you just steal it back once you research it?
-
Yes, now that I realize that it was only a bug making it show up in every civ instead of just one. Of course, now we're in the snowball stage where the frontrunner is about 5x stronger than everyone else, so it doesn't really matter. But I'll know for next time.
-
@Bombastixx: The Arabian Empire has the wonders. You can see it, because their purple (wonder) bar is filled.
I found this out 'the hard' way. (= attacking every nation with 'possible' wonders)
-
Thanks for telling me that the civ I am leading since the start of the game has all wonders.
You can see that I'm Arab because the civ is marked orange...
