    This poll sucks..

Maybe if it was about the leaders or abilities or UU/UB/UI that we dislike, but the actual civs...They're all good!

Any swear word is immediately filtered out. Trying to drop the 'f' bomb or anything like it will result in these silly smileys covering up what you actually said. Go ahead and try it I myself have said several words that are slightly less colorful than aforementioned "f" word but I am still quite healthily here.

I don't really dislike any particular Civilization. Its the leaders I can't stand. Alexander is a douche. End of story. The faster he dies, the better for the whole world. He seems to delight in insulting every other player like he's desperately compensating for something. Makes it all the more satisfying when I crush him into tiny bits! Outside of him, Gandhi works my nerves simply because he's so touchy. Even the SLIGHTEST step towards being a a warrior and he will immediately denounce you and hate you for eternity.

    Explain?

From the sound of it you could've phrased it "Which civilization do you like the least?"...At least it sounds slightly more tactful.

Stop double and triple posting. I'm suspecting that may have been why you were kicked off civfanatics.

And I don't dislike any civ. I just hate Alexander. And Elizabeth. And Washington.

And how could your poll not contain Greece, but contain China? How do you see Wu Zetian as bad?

FAIL! No Greece?! Alexander is the worst! Several threads (including one of my own) have been devoted to Alexander-hatred!

if you made a poll "which leader do you hate most" and the only 2 options are "Alexander" and "one of the other 22(?) Leaders" I'm fairly sure Alex would come out on top

Why Greece? I love Greece; I love playing with them, or against them. As an opponent, they make the game so much more colorful: they eliminate half the civs, control all CS, and have a huge tech lead. On top of this, they could backstab you at any moment.

I don't mind playing against any civ, really, but I absolutely hate playing with Polynesia. Moai are horrible, and if of any significance, they also lead to small, low production, and low gold cities. Their UA is also of little use and Maori come way too early.

Because Alexander is a massive jerk to people. That's why Greece gets so much hate. Still, its fun to play against them if only to crush Alexander first chance you get.

If you hate Polynesia, why do you like Greece? Their UU's come and go too quickly, and they have no special abilities that carry over into future upgrades. Plus, the UA is only useful if you choose to go Diplomatic. If you want to go conquest, then its near useless, especially if you're trying to rush in the early game with their UU's. I like Polynesia, since they can settle and explore faster and earlier than anyone else can, as well as being cultural powerhouses. Plus, the Moai earn gold after Flight. The Maori is alright. I generally build a few so I can have some units carry over the Haka War Dance ability.

Gandhi and Siam always seem to love trolling me. So I guess I hate them the most. I'm almost always at war with France too, but I love Napoleon so much that I can't stay mad at him.

I love Greece exactly for diplo. You can early rush with them to take out a few of the civs on your continent and then you have very much room expansion and thus a TP spam. You won't have too many policies, so I'd save most of them up for patronage and rationalism; however, with these you will have all the CS and be at the UN before you know it. Plus, you will only ever have to spend money on a CS once or twice during the game, and will have a lot of cash left over.

Early rushes aren't that good for domination anyway, I find, because they are followed by economic concerns, and it is simply better to then expand peacefully afterwards. At any rate, Greece isn't my favorite civ by any means, but I do not see why everyone would hate them so much. Also, I don't find Alexander to be a jerk, really, but rather only aggressive--with reason; this often makes him a very challenging opponent, but why is such bad?

Expansion onto islands, unless on archipelago, is pointless in the early-game, as continental expansion is generally much better. Calling Polynesia a cultural powerhouse is a bit strong; I remember when everyone used to say they are op for cultural, but the only time I got down to around a 300 turn cultural victory with them, which I generally get with other civs like France, the Songhai, and India, was when I almost completely ignored their SA. I usually generate some 10-12 landmarks in a cultural game, and thus I am left with no space for the far-weaker Moai; they are absolutely useless. Maori are also okay, but they are by no means one of the best UU in the game, and thus cannot make up for the lackluster nature of the Polynesians in the way the Janissary can for the Ottomans.

Hey black gat of mordor... hating their leaders is the same as hating the civ right? They control EVERYthing and are the ones who are so bothersome.

Get Polynesia for archipelago map. I don't like the Polynesians much, but I hate the americans. So annoying.

    Hey Civilizations:
    http://forums.2kgames.com/announcement.php?f=74
This isn't a chat. Multiple posts in couple minits is just annoying people. I don't think you want that I assume.

    Anyway; back on topic:
Siam; they always seem to be "annoy" me in one way or the other in my game

That's fair. The same reason you like Greece is the same reason I like Polynesia; a niche strategy. You go for Diplomacy, while I strive for culture. Thus, a Moai improvement is much more valuable to me, whereas a bonus to CS relations does a lot of good for you. The difference with Moai and Monuments is you can build them at will, as opposed to being stuck waiting for a GA to some along. Therefore, they do need to be slightly weaker, though in the right places, they can be incredibly powerful, even more powerful than a monument. Of course, comparing almost any unit to the Janissary is silly since its so OP as it is. The only two units I would put even close to it would be the Tercio and the Keshik. Haka War dance is no Janissary, yes, but its still quite useful, especially if you get a GG for yourself in there.

I like Greece, and I like playing as Greece. SO:

Which AI do I hate to run into? Monty or Askia (I just hate their leaderheads, honestly)
Which civ do I hate to play? Songhai or Siam.

    PS: The most.
