It might not be a bad idea to consolidate most of the common bugs into one thread. I've been reading this forum and here's what I got
- people leaving/joining civs at beginning of the game screw up a whole bunch of things (wonders of the world awarded to wrong country; kings and princes and queens in absentia make it hard/impossible to make decisions)
- a more accurate tech tree (3 things: 1. it could show who is working on a tech in the civ, so if they move to a new tech the numbers wouldn't seem so arbitrary. 2. the whole "over 100% researched" thing is super annoying. 3. probably related to the first bug about people in multiple civilizations - techs seem to be awarded at random to certain civilizations, depending on how many fingers one person has in a bunch of different kingdom pots.
- culling the ranks, not of inactive people, but of people who don't exist in any civilization. There are many blank players at least in game 601 - maybe their names are not in unicode (kanji or something I dunno).
possible not-bugs, but would alleviate frustrations or would fit better:
- minigames reflect the era (no jackson pollack paintings until modern times; no big rig caravans in the dark ages; no computer chip science mazes until the corporation is discovered, or what have you)
- a warning would be nice when you move or recycle a modest/large/ginormous anything - like "move this and lose your upgrades" - I know this is on the wiki and the FAQ, just sayin'
- battles begin in 9 hours and then suddenly start many hours before (maybe it's a game mechanic when enough armies are loaded - I dunno)
I'm sure people could add to stuff, but as others have pointed out, there are certain universal flaws in this game right now that people rediscover that are mostly related to the biggest flaw - people in many civs screwing up technology/wonders/political decisions/etc, that I think cascade down to everything else.
