Nead a confirm box for leaving a Civ

Twice I've been in the world menu, and clicked on the upper part of my Civ to switch menus and instead had it register on the leave button putting me on cooldown until I can rejoin. Really just needs an "are you sure you want to leave" box to prevent my stupidity and sloppy clicking.

I'm using Iron (Chromium) 11.07 running from Win 7 Ultimate. This is from game 336. I am (or was) in the Arabian Empire, and as you can see, the 'X' to close the Chat Window is positioned directly over where the 'Leave' (or 'Join') button flies up.

When I click the 'X' the Chat Window closes, the 'Leave' button flies up, and somehow the click carries through, causing me to leave the civ.

I can easily duplicate the problem, except of course now it has me join the civ.

But there also seems to be a bug that randomly drops you out of your Civ without even so much as an accidental click..

+1 - I think there should be a confirmation box on a few things actually.

I just checked and there is an upgrade for Iron (it's always a few days behind Chrome) so I will upgrade and see if the problem persists.

It seems like a "focus" issue. Sometimes when mousing over part of a dialog box I'm causing things behind it to put up too, while the focus stays on the dialog box. What should be happening is the dialog box should retain all actions until closed and let nothing be selected behind it.

Yeah, I also had that happen one of those times that I accidentally dropped.

I checked, and that happens also with the latest Chrome in Win7. Haven't checked other browsers, but the 'X' is in a REALLY bad place. The same effect happens in the market, where closing the chat screen will make you buy a commodity.

As a friend remarked to me, the safest thing to do is train yourself to never use the 'x' to close the chat window. Instead, the chat button at the bottom the screen that opens the chat window is a toggle; it will close the chat window as well.

There should also be a confirmation box for joining civ's as well

I went independant after leaving the German Confederation yesterday, I had plans on joining the Spanish Confederation

I went to the correct page and clicked on join (spanish confederation)

and it places me back in the German Confederation, now I have a 4hour cooldown on diplomancy and well another day wasted, I am like working again tonight so cant try again to join the spanish !!!!

so Conifrmation boxes would be useful on choices that have a time penalty to change !!!!

    thankyou

This happened to me in game 806. I was independent and trying to join the Chinese civilization, and it kept putting me in the Mongolian Horde. After three times, I just gave up.
