I suck

There are the players who are new who have pity taken on them and are expected to need tips and hints. Then there are player like me have flat out sucked for a LONG time. Believe me, I read strategies for every civ, I try horse rushing, expanding, teching, baking this and banking that, you name it. The closest I have come to winning a game (btw, I have never won a game against players) is by playing as the Zulu and rushing the crap out of the nearest civs and capturing 3 caps. I have several key problems though:

• TECH
• EXPANDING
• SURVIVING

I personally use the Romans to expand because of Code of Laws, but it never works out for me and I use England for defensive play. China is a give in for TECH. I need major help. Could someone take the time to help me out.

I'm not an idiot, I can win on Deity any day of the week, but MP is much different.

It's not going to happen overnight.Im sure someone will teach you, but you should try to learn the basics at least, and be patient.You will get better by time.

I sucked for a very, very long time too. Lost game after game after game while others talked about how easy it all is.

Mostly you just have to have goals. And keep picking up on the little things that players talk about.

But I think overall it's probably harder to improve these days than it was 2 years ago because not as many players describe in great detail all the little tricks they're using: nowadays it's kind of assumed and thus their's no reason to be explicit. This makes it harder for struggling players to pick up on all the details, but it can still be done.

er find me and we can play a bit if you want.. we can then discuss what we are doing each turn... It might teach me to be more disiplined - i think i know most if the tricks I'm just way too ill disciplined to use them most games !! But dont worry Im still one of the good players...

Maybe if you run us through what you're actually doing, in detail, we can tell you where you're going wrong.

I got good by playing the weekly challenge. Learning how to make the MOST out of every move is key. PS... careful not to say SUCK on the boards as Elizabeth will probably send you a violation for using profane language. I got one today for calling someone an idiot.
