Crashing when loading from save during game play

Anytime i try to reload a save during game play i get the loading screen flash up then the screen goes black the music carries on playing but nothing happens. i thought it might just be loading in the background so i left it for about 5-10 mins but nothing happened and in the end i had to kill it from task manager. i can then restart the game and use my save fine from the main menu before by choosing continue. Thats the only problem I have so far.

otherwise the game is amazing!

System:

core 2 duo e6600
gtx 8800
2 gig ram
nforce 680i chipset
163.44 nvidia drivers and latest nforce drives
on board sound using windows drivers.
All hot fixes installed and all updates from windows installed. this is a clean build pretty much.

sounds like Vista os, if so, you could get the latest audio drivers from Realtek

I've had similar problems but only once in awhile
