    -nointro works fine

    I saw this somewhere and it works on the dvd version from EB games,not sure about steam version.Just add it to the end of the shortcut properties,like this D:\BioShock\Builds\Release\Bioshock.exe -nointro DONT FORGET THE SPACE

    I don't see any reason to think it won't work in the steam version. It very likely does. And if you have the steam version you might as well just try it and report back rather then asking here...

    It works for direct2drive version, that's all I know

    Only practical for users that have Autorun disabled on their computers and run the game from a shotcut. Useless otherwise as you'd have to insert the DVD, cancel out of the Autorun dialog, and then fire off the game from the shortcut. Plus the average computer user doesn't disable Autorun.

    The game should let you escape out of these screens on the fly after the first viewing.

    Yes, it works with Steam version

    This isnt for the average user,this is for the hardcore who are sick of 'the way it's meant to be played' at every single startup.

    I dont think so, remenber steam opens its applications using steam.exe
    and not by linking directly tothe game executable..

    the game links usually are "steam.exe -launcapp -32" or something like that..
