Pretty swank, although part of me is sad to see it's real time with autopause.

While that's true, at least it's not a narrative driven first person shooter set in 1962.

I'm sorry to say I've never played the Jagged Alliance games. I should probably get around to that - I think I even bought one from GoG.com but never found the time to play it.

Never finished any of them, but they were solid, fun turn based games.

At least they give you some interesting queue options in this new game. I like that you can set it up so that if the stealth kill fails, a sniper can clean up the fail of the assassin/scout

JA is awesome, but i miss a sci-fi squad tactical combat game. That is not based in 1962 of course.

That's why i enjoyed Fallout: Tactics that much...paired with an interesting plot and story.

I really enjoyed Fallout tactics, maybe a smidge more then JA2. The sci fi and fallout universe were great... I also liked the strange team you create made up of humans, ghouls, super mutants... even death claws.

Being able to craft your own unique character using the fallout SPECIAL system was also, superb.

Still can vividly recall the first Behemoth I encountered and the epic battle I had. Great design that enemy, loved the beetle like appearance as it came at you with Gatling .50 cals. Scary as hell early game, and I saved my sabot rounds for it.

Agree. The behemoth was truly scary...it would rip even your power armor guys to shreds.

The fact that it had such a distinct variety of enemies made it so much richer. The story was truly gripping. One of my favorite missions was Peoria. Awesome name and scary mission. Sure it had its annoying quirks but were completely overshadowed by the awesomeness of the gameplay. I'd really want to replay it, if only i wouldn't know every inch of it...well almost.

I wonder how mod-able this JA remake will be? Maybe someone can figure out how to replace "enemy soldier" skin with "sectoid" skin, or "jungle hut wall" with "UFO hull?"
