I tried opening it in a game I was hosting and the same result - you can't open console in Multiplayer.
I don't see why the games console is disabled to prevent cheating in multiplayer when it's impossible to open the console in multiplayer anyway. The only MP component that you can open the console in is My Digs.
Anyway, I personally vote that the next patch for the game allows the console to be opened in single player. I mean the guys who really want to use it are using the SOS console anyway...
Apparently, console commands still work in the "chatbox" when you try to open the SOS console in MP.
Glad you can laugh Liz, but please confirm or deny that standalone dedicated server code will be released for Duke Nukem Forever by anybody that you know of, including your own group.
I made a second identity at Steam and bought him a copy of DNF so I could run a 24/7 DS and actually get to join it etc etc; I still put my first copy up as a DS when I am not playing it and still try to engage friends to join it before I kill it to play (or do something CPU/HDD/LAN intensive on my rig) so I really am interested to know if this is the way it will be for long.
I'm not after a patch, I want a proper actual Dedicated Server.
Can someone please post the port(s) that must be opened on a firewall to successfully run a DNF Dedicated Server? Thanks!
