    E3: No-Show

    FYI

    Neither Firaxis or 2K are at E3 this year.

    Any hopes I had of getting Civ Rev 2 info are dead.
    Firaxis is likely burried under Civ5 fixes and Civ World builds.
    Not sure of the reason behind the absence of 2K as I've seen them here in the past...

    For those of you who like FPS:
    Battlefield 3 looks absolutely sick.

    And for the RPG fans:
    Elder Scrolls: Skyrim will be off the hook.

    PC Gamers:
    Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a MMORPG that looks so good, I might give up console gaming completely!!

    Heh, I had a look at the E3 website and couldn't find them. That'll be why!

    That's weird. There were rumors going around they were going to unveil some new game. Especially weird for 2K to take a pass as they have all kinds of non-Civ games.

    For some reason that name sounds really dirty to me. Is it just me?

    I've made a deal with my GF that from 11/11/11 (Skyrims release) I get a 2 week "vacation" to play the game for as long as I want during that period.... let's hope she doesn't have a period that long...

    Anyways, Battlefield Bad Company 3 is indeed extremely sweet graphic-wise, but I'm not so sure about the gameplay...
    ->Probably much the same as BFBC 2, which is süpërdüpëräwësömë

    And knights of ye ol' republic is just gonna prevent my graduation....

    Gotta love these technologically advanced gaming times!

    @Thrasher
    Share your suprise regarding 2k Games. I have seen them here in past years as well as Firaxis. Shame. I was hoping for a the slightest ray of sunshine and hope for Civ 2... (Sans Facebook)

    and ps, it's not just you.. anytime you say rim it makes a grown man giggle.

    @Sniperkille
    I burned out an OG Xbox playing Morrowind and earned a RROD on my original 360 playing Oblivion. My last and favorite character was a Nord from Skyrim. I wish it was like Mass Effect where your save game and character carried over....

    November is going to be expensive both in time and money as all these titles are on my but list for that month...
    Battlefield 3, SkyRim, Assassins Creed, Star Wars KOTOR, maybe MW3

    I take back what I said about 2K... They did show up, I found them in the corner of South Hall. Odd that they weren't listed on the program guide, but nevertheless, they were there.

    I inquired about a sequel for Civ Rev, but got a non-commital, "I can't say yes and I can't say no." With a blush and a smile. I chatted up the game, expressed our collective interest and made the point about how strong the community was here 3 years after release. The person I talked to, also a CivRev fan btw, said that they do monitor and hear/read what their fans are saying.

    One can only hope, but as of now, no real news or info...

    You should have ripped their ass for having allowed this game to be so buggy and cheat prone.

    The person I talked to wasn't worth hanging Jack, but would have been whips and chains worthy for sure!

    @Asmodeus, I agree to an extent about the bugs.. But against honest players it's not an issue. Shame we can't change human nature instead...

    now i'm starting to wonder who produced the blush and the smile. sounds like someone was smitten with the 2k booth girl.
