    Game performance

This just came up on the in game chat. The game seems to use an extraordinary amount of system resources. Various players report that the game is basicly putting a 100% load on one processor core, while sometimes using up to 600 MB of RAM.

The latter is not much of a problem 600 MB is workable on most systems. But the former might be considering that people will often leave the game running in the background while doing other stuff (its that kinda game). This might turn in quite an environmental burden.

Some experimenting shows, that CPU load actually drops quite a bit when the system runs in the background. So that's actually good. Yet since the game doesn't seem to do much special, I think some further code optimalization may be possible.

Could others also comment on their experience with game performance, including their specs. This may be helpful to the devs in finding things to optimize.

My system specs (a fairly ancient Dell notebook)

    CPU:Intel core T2500 @ 2GHz
    RAM: 3GB
    OS:WinXP SP3
    browser:Firefox 4.0.1

I have the same problem, when the game is running for a while it consumes a lot of memory (process explorer says ~600mb right now) and full load on the CPU. It even freezes up my browser and the whole system temporarily. Closing and restarting the browser helps, but only for some time and than the issue returns.

    My system:

    AMILO XI 1546
    Intel Core2 CPU T7200 @ 2 GHz
    2 GB RAM
    ATI Mobility Radeon X1800
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3
    Firefox 4.01
    Java etc. is up-to-date

This is true for any somehow-complicated game written with Flash. Thank god it doesn't use all 4 cores!
