Thread: Not So Addictive After All...

Smile Not So Addictive After All...

At first i thought i was becoming horribly addicted to Civ World. However after completing 1 or 2 full games i found my interest waning...

Civ Rev (my favourite game of all time) has scenarios or MP and teams and Game of the Week...all make it incredibly re-playable...cos of different maps, different artefacts, different people. I'm still playing it 2+ yrs after it was first released.

Aside: I am playing Civ World at work now...cos i'm battling various bureaucrats and red tape...it's reverse psychology of sorts...my 'net usage will flag management and they'll be compelled to give me some work LOL

(So 2K, can you please make each game different somehow?!!)

It's still beta; I believe such stuff will be added in the final version.

I'm starting to sound repetitive but low motivation/interest is caused by the few viable ways of winning the game (see miniwonders related threads). It's really difficult, at least for me, to go another route for victories when I know how to do it fast and efficiently. Another small civ popping miniwonders faster than my civ it's not my concept of a challenge or great strategy. Game is really lacking on diverse strategies that can be challenging and surprising and at the same time win the game for the successful civ. I'll get tired of the subject eventually and won't post anymore, sorry .

If it helps, I don't disagree at all, and I doubt any of the experienced players do either. There are so many simple, obvious problems it's hard to fathom why they haven't been addressed.

We all should learn from History. And this time, Facebook History. The game is still in its infancy. So only the ideas of the developers are being created and adopted to the game. However, since this is a game in Facebook, I surely think that the idea that you have will be taken cared of..

FYI my strategy worked! (i.e playing Civ World at work to get management to take notice and give me something to do).

I'd been lobbying management to encrypt user passwords that've been stored as plaintext. a la Sony PSN hack. Even though corporate policy also dictates similar measures to enforce data privacy i'd been blocked working on this project by a senior bureaucrat. They had to let me work on it!! Insane ROTFL

    Thx Civ World!!!!

I'm having the most awesome day today

Man, i've turned into a monster!!

I'm like Godzilla tearing up the bureaucracy!!! Man, it's carnage...and so much fun LOL
So many people hate me right now...

[Downside is i'm now busy with work cleaning up a mess of lax 'net security here, so no time for Civ World ]

this game is boring and there is NO strategy. ..but there are minigames? wtf. The game is going to be the same on alpha release - they will just get rid of bugs. Maybe after if there will be still people playing it, they will add new things.

I am being very sceptical about this game, I know some enjoy it, but overall - it is not a game for Civilization series fans. This is a toy game not strategy game as they promised............

I agree here...even though there are plenty of familiar things. Civ World doesn't feel like any of the other "Sid Meier's Civilization" games be it on the PC, console/mobile or otherwise...
