MOD: Maps - Rotate Start Position

Permits the player's starting position to be rotated among those available.

If the Player is part of a Team, only the Team's starting locations are available, otherwise, if there are 4 or less Civs in play, all starting locations are available, otherwise a random selection of half of the starting locations are available.

There are issues with the MiniMap due to short-comings of the core game code.

The MiniMap is not fogged out when the original hexes are "fogged out", which not only means you'll be able to identify where other Civs are starting, but also after the first turn who they are (as you'll see the colours of the capitals when they are built) but you won't have met them (for trading purposes) until you actually send a unit there!

Hopefully, a patch will address the issues in the core-code and fix these problems.

Version 3 uploaded, finally found a way to fix the icon resources being left in the FoW at the other start locations - now if only I could fix the minimap!

How do you access your mod in game? I don't see anything that lets you change starting position.

Only works on the first turn before you've founded your capital (so no good enabling it and then loading a saved game).

If you can't see it for a new game, make sure you have a) enabled the mod and b) are starting the game from the Modding menu.
