I just finished watching The Walking Dead (Five) A series about a zombie apocalypse following the journey of a small town sheriff as he wakes up from a coma to this new world.
Without giving too much away it is a suprisingly deep and touching series at times but also has the customary bloodshed and violence and is all round a gripping drama which I would thourghly recommend.

But I cant wait for season 2 in october. Im ready to see what will come of the rest of the group.

Yeah it's annoying I'm probably going to get season 2 years later but hey thats what I get for living over the ocean I do however have the advantge of... well... I'll think of something.

What's your favorite episode of the very few in the first season? I personally thought the first season wasn't nearly as long as it should have been.

When I went over to America I was mistaken for scotish and wealsh. For my faviroute episode I quite liked the first one, it would be the last one but I find the grenade destroying the window was ridiculous.

This show only started airing in Australia 4 weeks ago, though they are doing double episodes too catch up as fast as possible.
Sooner or later you will be caught up with the U.S. then. Don't worry, you have until the end of the Summer to ensure that you are caught up for Season 3 to begin.
Season 2 starts tonight, and assuming that it has the same amount of episodes as season1 we will be finished in 4 weeks, so definitely in time for Summer.

By the way what are peoples favourite characters, mines Shane in case you hadn't guessed.
I'd say either Rick (gotta side with the protagonist) or Daryl (professional badass). There are some aspects to Rick's character that I'm beginning not to like, but those won't show until next episode. Don't worry, it's really not a spolier.
When you reach the last episode of season 2, you will know who my favorite character is.

It is actually a prison, if you have read the comic books the prison is one of the best times during The Walking Dead. The prison is where you also meet the main antagonist of the story.
