ME3, it should be arriving after I wake up.![]()
I tried the demo.
I _will_ bebuying this, I just need to make sure Ihave the money free (as pocket money, not something intended for bills and the like, y'know?)
Mass effect 3, shadow of teh colossus and i should be getting twisted metal soon![]()
Getting Tales Of Graces f this week, haven't been this excited for a game in a long time. Anyone else picking it up?
I just bought Psychonauts on Steam a few minutes ago, hoping it installs quickly so I can get playing. *excitement*
Bought BioShock 1 & 2 yesterday off of Steam. BS1's demo just did not run well at all, but at $10 for the both of 'em, I couldn't pass it up. Turns out the full version runs just fine, though I had to make a few changes, like running it in XP compatibility mode. Haven't tried BS2 yet- I don't have Minerva's Den anyway, and that was my favorite part of the game. (That is on PC now, right?)
Got Trials Evolution out on XBLA today, original was fantastic and the sequel looks even better![]()
Just bought the Silent Hill HD Collection on my XBox 360. It's kicking my butt, but I'm loving it.
Twisted metal was well worth it although ive yet to play mp online (tried, always an error). But.. i got dead island last week and 2 others.. i now need a bigger/another cd holder, ive reached more than 65 ps3 disc games.. :3
Dead Island is fun. Ammunition for guns is a bit scarce for my tastes, but it' still vry very fun. Matter of fact, I've been playing some more of it lately (PC, not PS3, sorry).
Dead Island is brilliant, has some great locations though some sections in the city were a little unbalanced IMO, the difficulty got ramped up too quickly IMO, those v fast zombies in groups were
The melee weapons & upgrades were so good I didn't really miss shooting, apart from the shotguns I hardly used them at all. Excellent co-op as well![]()
Nekro.
Mix of Overlord (closest), Dungeon Keeper and Diablo 2.
There are gawdawfully few games where you can root for evil. =P
Of, the Infected? Yeah, they suck. One good Molotov takes whole bunches of 'em down. And they'll run right through the flames, too.
I'm a L4D fan, so, yeah I miss the shooting part. The melee weapons & upgrades were so good I didn't really miss shooting, apart from the shotguns I hardly used them at all.
I wouldn't know, I never tried that.Excellent co-op as well![]()

Guns are really underpowered in Dead Island tbh. Even while playing as a max level Purna (the gun specialist) with fully upgraded and modded max level gold guns, it still does puny damage in comparison to melee weapons of similar stature. Headshots do very little bonus damage (unless you're using a shotty at close range then you can get instakills thru decaps) and guns are very noisy - which attracts zombies that would otherwise be minding their own fckin business.
If you're not using the gun specialist, guns are really only useful for killing human enemies and igniting the green mist covered zombies provided you're using the incendiary mod.
See that walled off section inside the city? Y'know, the one with the big biohazard sign? That's the quarantine zone. And pre infected nerf patch, that was probably the hardest section in the whole game. It was not impossible though, you can easily cheese it once you get better at the game. But the infinite infected respawns plus how cheap the infected were before they were nerfed (they do this stupid helicopter-arm wailing attack that just staggers you and has higher priority than any of your attacks - which can lead into you getting stun locked to death if there are multiple infecteds hitting you) made that area a bane for newcomers.
Quarantine zone was the stuff of nightmares, think I read recently they toned the difficulty down as well, I spent more time running away in the city instead of fighting, it was easier to do that so just didn't work so well which is a shame, the location was great.
Was a huge game, after two playthroughs I was still finding more quests I had missed, it sold well so hopefully The rumours of a sequel come to something, easily my favourite game of last year.
Yeah, this too. Pretty much I use guns for only a few things:
- Suiciders
- Floaters
- Making propane tanks go BOOM in the middle of crowds
- Thugs ('cause it's quicker than "the Thug waltz" in-and-out melee method, and I'm impatient)
- Human enemies (because even with just a so-so pistol, headshots are usually insta-kills - plus, humans drop AMMO, so I can keep shooting!)
I got a bit tired of Dead Island after a while. I'm used to zombie games where you can mow down a horde of zombies no problem with a machine gun and push forward, so you can imagine how annoyed I was when I first tried to headshot a zombie. That's not the only problem I had- the whole game got repetitive after a while. It was good fun at first, at the very least...
I just bought Need For speed world recently about a week ago really great graphics it has ,I just feel like reality.
Battlefield 3 is the latest game I bought.
Dead island is so.. ugh.. lol. I had been wanting it for a while but i shouldnt have played it. The things i like in it are viciously beat by the things i dislike..

Didn't buy The Walking Dead- went for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 instead.
Medieval 2 Total War, and thinking about Empire Total War... I think it's a good game, perhaps a bit more confusing than Rome Total War.
Triple Town game is one of the most creative and unique puzzle games. It’s free down loaded game. In iPad, game having good visibility and I was bought around one or two months ago.

Just got L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition on Steam for $7.49, and I'm anticipating the summer sale the day after tomorrow. I'll probably frequent this thread for the next week or so.

Valkyria Chronicles. It is just amazing. I was skeptical about it at first, but 300 hours later... I am in. If you like turn-based strategy with RPG element you cannot be wrong.
