Question What's the latest game you bought?

I'm not sure if this thread has been done b4 but when I searched it up
I couldn't find it so I dont think it has but if it was done b4 I'm sorry!

So, what is the latest game you bought?? I recently bought skate 3
And IMHO it was really fun and I enjoyed every minute of it so yeah.
    Lucky I bought it

I'd love to hear about your newest game(s) and if you want
say if it was worth getting, If it was boring, etc.

I'm a hardcore Minecraft fan. That game is ART.

The latest game I bought was Dante's Inferno a few weeks ago, and I'm already ashamed at what a blatant God of War ripoff it is.

The Beatles Rock Band. Great game, mainly because of the music.

L A Noire, mixed feelings about it, the cases gameplay is excellent backed up by amazing tech (although the it's only really the faces, the model animation isn't so good) great voice acting & good story.

but the driving & AI are both horrible, an odd mix of gritty & realistic cop drama and a world that doesn't really fit, which is a shame because they clearly went to a lot of trouble to recreate LA, then populated it with robotic idiots

Wolfenstein (PS3) & Return to Castle Wolfenstein (PS2). Wolfenstein is a fantastic shooter if I do say so; much much better than those other shooters set during WWII which are being published Activision.

It is. But the replayability is pretty low, because the four characters really play very much alike, and have little or no story differences.

Anyway, as for what I bought recently? A pair of games simultaneously, one of which was "meh", the other I'm having a great time with.

Unstoppable Zorg is a tower defense ish game, with a couple unique twists and a very 50's b-movie scifi theme. Cute, but nothing to write home about.

UFO: Afterlight, on the other hand, has been a great little game (for the $10 pricetag - yayy, Steam sales!). Very, very reminiscent of the old Xcom games (as it should be, considering that was the goal of the UFO: After____ series). I'm hoping to find the other two in the trilogy, too.

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne- I don't know what I think of it yet. I don't even know if it works. I don't want to play it yet, in fear of spoiling the story. It's probably safe to assume I'll like it, given how much I'm enjoying the original Max Payne.

Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2- this was the first shooter game I ever played. My first experience with this game was when my uncle came to visit and brought some PS1 games with him. This game got some bad press, but it has a special place in my heart, and is the first video game I've ever been a fan of and among the first I've ever played. Playing the PS2 version now, I will tell you that the visual quality could be better, given the other PS2 games that released that year (2001), and the contols are pretty bad. Still, I'm enjoying it.

Call of Duty: Finest Hour- One of my friends recommended this to me, so I went ahead a grabbed a copy. It's not a bad game, but it definitely suffers from being so old. The music tracks are really short, and thus repeat themselves way too often, and the whole game is overly dramatic. It is enjoyable nonetheless, but keep those things in mind if you're going to buy a copy.

Metal Gear Solid HD, great to play them again, enjoying Peace Walker more than the others, although it suffers graphically the camera & controls are just so much better, MGS2 is still fantastic. Should have included MGS1

Darkness 2 which should arrive tomorrow, also picking up Catherine on friday, which looks insane...

should have PS Vita + Uncharted & Rayman origins arriving today

Darkness 2 was short & sweet, haven't finished Catherine, it's brilliant & insane but also VERY frustrating in the later levels, get the timing wrong by a fraction of a second and it's game over, will go back to it eventually.

also got Dear Esther to complete, which is a weird concept... more art than game but it's incredible to look at & so atmospheric.

Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition. It was Okay, but I really expected a longer experience from the DLCS included. They felt rushed.

    Alan Wake on the PC

I've always been a fan of Remedy Entertainment so this was a day one buy for me. Ever since the first Max Payne game, I've come to expect certain standards from Remedy games (and those would be excellent gameplay, overall pacing, map design, non-sequential exposition style, and Sam Lake's psychological thriller-action hybrid storyline) and this one definitely deliverered on all of those fronts.

Awesome game. Can't wait for American Nightmare PC release.

Binary Domain, wouldn't score highly on production values but the gameplay is pretty much perfect, has a nice anime style to it & some great boss battles.

it's SEGA so price will porbably drop quickly, well worth picking up.

finished Uncharted on PSVita which was just amazing, much preferred it to the last PS3 game though 2 is still the best of the series imo.

    The Darkness II.

Mildly disappointing - seemed too short. Also more linear than I like even my FPS games to be; always just the one way forward, never any alternate paths to pursue. "Do it this way, or don't bother playing" ...

    Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga

So far, so good. I'm only on the first campaign, though, the remake of Ego Draconis.
Playing as a dragon is fun.

I Am Alive XBLA, a bit clunky but I like the concept & style.

Unit 13 PSVita, really enjoying it even if it is a bit buggy and some dodgy AI but spent hours on the demo, lots of replay value.

played the first few hours last night, shame the combat feels so clunky, it's almost out of place & probably would have been better as a pure exploration game imo, the idea of avoiding threats and intimidating works well & should have been used more.

really do like the style & although a little rough in places it looks great for an arcade game.
