what was your weirdest ai glitch in mafia 2?
Today i was playing jimmy's vendetta and i was doing the mission we're you have to steal the prison bus, i was on my way to steal the prison bus i was going past the highway overpass when a walter rocket flew off the bridge and rolled two times then drove away!!
When i say that i was like WTF!!!!!!!!!!!
The weirdest glitch I have come across is when for a long time in JV all the traffic lights had disappeared and
no cars were respawning at certain points

That's not a glitch. The cars randomly change lanes. 2 cars must have converged into the same lane, sending one of them flying. It landed on the guardrail and fell over onto the road below. If it lands upright, then it will drive away. You can see the same thing happening with pedestrians. They will randomly jump the wrong way out of the way of an oncoming vehicle, causing that vehicle to brake and swerve, sometimes causing a big pileup. I watched a police car plow through a group of pedestrians when it got into an accident. And then when I braked to avoid it, I slid into the car in front of me. The cops then announced that I was wanted for a hit and run. Meanwhile the ground was littered with their victims. It was hilarious.Originally Posted by hugh750

Dare978Devil's post is one of the reasons why I think the driving AI was much better in 2 than 1. All we saw in 1 was cars abruptly changing lanes and pulling out in front of you, with cops ignoring any kind of accidents.
One time a cop stumbled on the street for no reason and tried arresting me for it

Today i was playing mafia 2 and i was on the mission where you have to go to joe's apartment and meet eddie, i had a cop car do a couple of u turns in front of me and turn right onto a side street! when i saw that i thought WTF!!
After I caused a big pile up on the highway near the docks I started shooting in the air and every civi either drove off the edge or got out of there car and jumped either that or in the demo when the the cops started shooting the gun clerk after getting 3 stars
Since I am modding pedestrian behavior, often I do something wrong and results are sometimes quite funny.
For example I tried to make a random event: ocasionally young pedestrian male attempts to pickpocket Vito and runs away with stolen money. Well, something went wrong and ALL pedestrians were slowly walking towards Vito like zombies, ignoring everything (gunfire, cars, obstacles...everything). Now that was pretty spooky, but hilarious at the same time, because each time some of these "zombies" got close enough to Vito, they stole some of his money and started running away ^_^
i had two weird ai glitches today in mafia
they both happened after the mission where you have to go after the greasers and kill them.
the first one was after i stole the hot rod and took it to deric's and just before i loaded it on the platform to sell it a lady driver in a smith custom 200 drove onto the docks and kept driving into the platform, i parked the hotrod on the platform and got out and took the lady driver out of her car since she couldn't drive.
and the second one was after i stole a walter coupe and was just about near home and a cop car rammed me in the side causing me to hit a pedestrian (which resulted in a police chase and they wanted to shoot me and i wasn't the one at fault)!!
the very 1st tiem i played mafia 2 throughout teh whole game i had marker on joes house from the end of chapter 2 where said "Sleep on joe's Couch"
I had something really funny happen to me. As many of us have done, I went and found a super fast car (Ascot Bailey) and went to just cause havoc around the city. Well I'm at Joe's. I go out to the garage, grab my Ascot Bailey and take off, hanging a right onto the street. There were no cars in front of me so I punched it. Next thing you know, I lose control just as I hit the intersection, my car spins to the right and i flip sideways into an alluminum trash can. I'm dead.
I wash rinse and repeat, but maintain control of my car. I head in the direction of Vito's house later in the game, and turn to go into a tunnel. While driving into it, it dips down, but I was driving too fast at this point. When I should have dipped, it instead acted like a ramp, launches me into the air. The nose of my car starts to dip down, I slam into a truck (like the one Vito is loading crates into towards the beginning of the game), start flipping somehow, slammed into a wall and then had a 8 car pile up. Somehow I didn't die.don't ask me how... I'm still confused..
