Dang it! Beat me to it....
Although I'll simply quote what one of my friends said about the situation.
Today the U.S government actually caught someone they were looking for. And it only took 10 years, and the lives of 4,500 American soldiers and an estimated 125,000 Iraqi civillians. "Mission accomplished"
Lol I already found out about this. The president gave his speech like 30 minutes ago.
It is also the 8th anniversary of G.W.Bush giving his mission accomplished speech upon capturing Suddam Hussain.
Donald Trump is demanding to see the Death Certificate.
That's okay, he'll claim it was photoshopped afterward.
I hope it was worth it.
Just because someone dies, doesn't mean that their legend or mission doesn't live on. There are, after all, these things known as successors.
-.-

Holy hell, I just watched the news report here. Julia Gillard's one tone voice blasting it out.
Finally.
It might just turn him into a martyr for the cause so we'll have to wait to see what this brings.
Good Riddance.
You actually listen to that women talk? Her voice gets on my nerves so I decided to just pay no attention to her.
On the topic of Bin Laden, I still maintain that if they just sent Jack Bauer in he would have had him caught in a day, not ten years.
There is an article in an Australian paper which talks about this very situation occuring.

....yeah...didn't care if he was alive and don't care still if he is dead. Besides with him dead we will see either a rise in terror or less in terror... :/
One of the very few times I come back to the forums...and I see this.
Really? Really people? Is this an appropriate forum topic? I remember now why I left.
Please don't backseat moderate. If you think a thread is inappropriate, report it.
Back on topic now, thanks.
This is either really freaking good, or really freaking bad. I mean, this could end the war on terrorism potentially, or it could cause Al Qaida to retaliate with an act of terrorism similar to 9/11. But still, I'm obviously very happy.
Thank God he's gone. What a monster the world is finally rid of.
One man's death doesn't signal the end of terrorism, folks; just a friendly heads up. It's crazy to think that brown people aren't the only ones capable of committing atrocities like 9/11, I know. But, it can, and does, come from all walks of life.
Every ones making a fuss over him but he's spent the last however many years hiding. It's not like he's coradinated terroism across the globe so it's more a moral victory than anything pratical.
Case in point, David Hicks.
