Don't give up. Radio channel is... it's just perfect.

This for sure, audio diaries or rapture reminders in between great music would be a total win..

Well that is a good thing I can't wait to get back on and keep listening.
Ya know, I recently bought a vintage 1947 radio I was going to repair… now I might just gut it and put a new circuit board in it to play Rapture Radio through the stock speaker.
Thanks! Yeah I did a bit more research and I'm going to do it. I'm going to repurpose one of the knobs to select between Rapture Radio, and audio diaries from either Bioshock 1 or 2 depending on rotary switch position. Here is the radio I'm using.
Looking forward to your channel coming back on air!
How many people here would be interested in a 2nd radio station that plays music from Raptures time period up to 1959? If there is no interest I won't waste resources in launching KNO radio. (Rapture's defunct radio station from wayback)
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, if there is interest in a 2nd radio station, Rapture Radio will ONLY play songs from BS1 & BS2.
KNO Radio will play songs up to 1959 but were not included in either games.
What are peoples thoughts? let me know.
Cheers,
Tapper
I prefer it the way it was. Having just BS1 and BS2 songs is too small of a pool IMO, so it would get repetitive fast.
Any word when the radio is going back online rbt?
Personally, I kinda would like two stations, especially since it'll give some options to listen to different songs, wether they're from BioShock or from that same era. Otherwise, it would be quite an interesting experiment for the radio. Either way, I just hope you get the station up and running again.
Greetings, citizens of Rapture.
Rapture Radio is back online while we continue to trouble shoot the system.
Enjoy.
Cheers,
Tapper
Dang that's why i couldnt listen to it today, thats a shame really you had some really good tracks in there and i really enjoyed listening to them although why Al Bowley-midnight with the stars and you wasnt included baffles me.
Greetings, citizens of Rapture.
Many of you noticed that Rapture Radio, went off the air after a few days of being back online, our host got bought out and the new owner decided to jack the prices up which resulted in 50,000 + people getting their subscription pulled. It worked out better for us though. Rapture Radio is back on the air, we are troubleshooting the new system with our new host over the next few days, so please pardon our dust.
We were very limited in storage space with our previous host, our new host after discussing a business deal has agreed to allow us up to 1 Gig of storage. The song you have requested may end up on the radio station.
Keep it tuned to Rapture Radio, enjoy.
Cheers,
Tapper
I thought it was just me who couldn't acceses it, great to hear it's back up. By the way did you get my message?
That's good to know it's once again back up. I'm sorry to hear such bad backlash happened by the previous host, but I'm glad it's finally resolved. I hope it'll be around a lot longer this time.
Also, I can't wait to see what new updates will be in Rapture Archives.

Awesome its running I was like damn.
Rapture Radio is awesome! What a clever idea.
Here is a commercial idea you might like to use:
"Tired of paying top dollar for recycled oxygen? Is the cost of oxidizing your WHOLE home sending you to the poor house? Contact 'O2 Oliver' today and ask us about our PER-ROOM rates. Remember - for top quality oxygen at a competitive price - shop 'O2 Oliver' today!"
Rapture Radio, will be hosting a special radio broadcast from 22:00 - 0:00 February 10th EST. The broadcast will play songs from Rapture's period. around 23:30 the music will cut out and users will be invited to listen in on the party that took place in 1959 at the Kashmir restaurant, originally aired by 2K.
If your interested your welcome to listen in at www.rapturearchives.org
Message to Mods: I understand this topic is very old, but I thought it was appropriate to post an update here than make a new thread, 'necromancy' is not my intention.
Sounds terrific, especially this is around BS2's release 2 years ago, which I hope you'll have another special broadcast for BioShock's 5th anniversary on August 21st. I still listen to the station from time-to-time, and I'll definitely tune in on that date.
The whole "thread-ressurection" rule does cut too much on some good threads. Its understandable why moderators do it, but when it comes to certain updates an OP will have, I really don't want the thread to be cut off.
Good Day Rapture,
Technical Update:
Rapture Radio will go off the air, sometime today around 2pm EST, and will not be back online until Monday around the same time.
During the down time some tweaks will be added under the covers to help with playback from areas farther away from the server.
There was no need to bother with this when it was brought to my attention before, but the traffic globally has greatly increased per month and so now it is time. We regret any inconvenience.
If some people were wondering, additional tracks are still being added. Total currents tracks is 126. This will climb to just over 140 by June. Most tracks were recommended by fellow listeners just like you. ;-)
End of Line.
I'm so happy the radios back up, it brings warmth to my heart, lol.
This is awesome! Thank you so much for creating this. Love the music and especially the commercials. Now i just need a apartment with a underwater view. Well done! Keep up the great work!
How have I not heard of this until now? Is it still running?
The radio broadcasts 24 hours a day, apparently the DJ never sleeps ;P
I fixed the link on the first page of this thread and it will direct you to the museum section, Enjoy.
If you like what you see please leave a comment in the guestbook.
