Simon Wales Chapel issues

I know this has been already been talked about in other threads but its been about a year and this still hasnt been fixed.The issue is in Siren ally you have to kill Simon whales to get to pumping station #5 and if you die you are sent to the vita chamber(unless turned off) inside the chapel and what happens is either he gets locked outside or stuck on the 3rd level making it unable to get the key (for this glitch atleast).Normally i wouldnt have an issue with this if my save was say 2-3 hours ago but mine saved on its own somehow after i got stuck in the chapel and Simon is outside and due to there being no windows he cant open the door so my only options are wait until this is fixed or do the whole game again and hope i dont have the same problem. please Help
