Why are their so few mods for this game?
Why do alot of other games allow car modding and adding new missions etc but mafia 2 doesnt?GTA IV Has hundreds of awsome car mods, yet the only car mods mafia 2 has are reskins and not a whole new model.
It could extend the life of this game ALOT,Is the game just hard to mod or are people not really bothered to do mods?
Im not good with this kinds of stuff.
The developers never released any mod tools so any moding has to be done using the back door which is complicated and limited.
I have no idea why the developers do not want to make mafia 2 more mod friendly, it would certainly raise its popularity on the PC platform and there is also a trend on consoles for user created content.
its a different creature behind Mafia II vs. Mafia I. Just compare what/who was involved at the time of both of its productions. Its sad really, many games/companies are going the way of Hollywood has with movies.

this is why this game is over i am still down loading cars for GTA 4 all the time and modsi really wish i had never got this game mafia 2 i will never buy mafia 3 if they ever make it i will stick to GTA4 TYPE GAMES
The modding community has tried to work with M2 but there is not much we can do when there is no interest in the game and we get no support whatsoever from the devs. 2K doesn't care about the community and as a result there is not many of us working on this game. 2K has successfully killed off one of the most dedicated and talented modding communities of the last decade.
