I think you should make a free mmorpg kinda like the xbox live but you could also see the regular rapture and it slowly fall then fight for a side, Ryan, Atlas, or Lamb. I think this would be a lot of fun!

Now daddy, be kind. This is this persons first post. I was quite the naive one myself when I first started.
Now Billy, your idea sounds interesting. But is very unrealistic. Unless you were to gather up some nerdy friends, create a company, make a deal with 2k and perhaps irrational, find the money source and time to do this. Find a way to sell your idea to the public and still have it exciting by the time it comes out. Then it will not happen.
If we arent going to get a specific playlist to play maps we all bought, we are not going to get a mmorpg version of Rapture and have it be free as well. If you want to talk about it and dream up of ideas, well. Thats basically all this thread is useful for now.

Yes, but the multiplayer is not a MMORPG. This one is purely speculative discussion.
The idea of Muhmorpegger's gets thrown around once every three months. Most of the time it's met by quite heavy dislike. As for it happening for free on XBL... yeah, no. Probably won't ever happen.
The thing is, Bioshock is known for it's story. Even the multiplayer has snippets of the story that we've never seen or heard before. I doubt an MMORPG, unless done like how Bioware is doing TOR, will be able to have as in depth a story as what would be needed to make the game worthy of being bioshock.
