I was wondering what the status is on the Director's Cut edition for PC, and will it be available on Steam?

The Xbox 360 Platinum Hits edition and the PS3 Greatest Hits version can both be found at various retailers.

Why do folk want to purchase the "same" thing again?, I've purchased games a second time but only because it's been a collectors edition with "additional" content, this is just a repackage.
I am curious as to why it's not being made available in the UK, I wonder if it's because the phrase "Directors cut" would get slammed by consumer affairs?

Both the console versions, which include $40 worth of DLC, are selling for between 20 and 30 USD, and that includes the original game. Assuming the PC Director's Cut could be had for a similar price, it would actually be cheaper to buy the Director's Cut than buy all the DLC separately.

Also, the Director's Cut would bring PC users the Betrayal of Jimmy DLC, which thus far has only been available to console users.

I would buy it just to get Betrayal of Jimmy on the PC (if I can figure out who Jimmy is).

The Directors Cut for PC was supposed to have been released in June according to Game UK.
This however seems to have gone the way of the seed that fell on stony ground... and that
too did not take root and soon withered.

It was released in June although it didn't seem to stay in stock with Game for very long.

Copies are still listed as available from a number of net sites:-

Doesn't really give a good account for the value of the game, now that it averages around £13.15
(Not that I am saying anything of course)

You can buy the Directors Cut on ebay for $8

They still sell it on Steam (Australia) for $79.99

I haven't seen the Directors Cut in stores in Australia, but the game is around $50 still.

Buy it on ebay , you get the extra DLC that was for the PS3.
