    Exclamation Is there a way to remove the 60 FPS limit?

    Since i know there will be people saying "you don't need more than 60" - I NEED OVER 60 FPS IN ORDER TO TEST VIDEO CARD MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE CAPABILITIES.

    Also, vertical sync is OBVIOUSLY off.

    They are in Documents/My Games

    (and I believe it would be most likely in default.ini)

    Just joking,

    The file you are after is Default.ini located here C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\BioShock 2\SP\Builds\Binaries

    The specific Lines you want to change are

    [BioDrv.BioRenderDevice]
    HighDetailActors=True
    SuperHighDetailActors=True
    UsePrecaching=True
    UseTrilinear=True
    AdapterNumber=-1
    ReduceMouseLag=True
    DoubleBufferMouseLag=True
    DesiredRefreshRate=60 ---------------------------------------------THIS ONE!!!
    UseVSync=True
    LevelOfAnisotropy=4
    TesselationFactor=1.0
    CheckForOverflow=False
    BatchRenderFlash=True

    [D3DDrv10.D3DRenderDevice10]
    HighDetailActors=True
    SuperHighDetailActors=True
    UsePrecaching=True
    UseTrilinear=True
    AdapterNumber=-1
    ReduceMouseLag=True
    DoubleBufferMouseLag=True
    DesiredRefreshRate=60 --------------------------------- THIS ONE!!!!!!!!
    UseVSync=True
    LevelOfAnisotropy=4
    TesselationFactor=1.0
    CheckForOverflow=False
    BatchRenderFlash=True

    Change them both to what you would like.

    Enjoy

    I did like you said, and it did not work. I also disabled vsync, but that did not work too. Now i can forget this issue, it was not very important anyway...

    I guess we can say that Bioshock 2 is really limited to 60 FPS.

    No matter a screen cannot physically display more than 60 Fps anyway, I suspect the engine does not allow anything above 60, Bioshock 2 is not what you would consider a "Performance Tester", use Crysis or Crysis 2 instead. Personally I recommend Unigine's Heaven Benchmark http://unigine.com/products/heaven/
