Yeah, there's no freeride. There's several mods for them though, if you're on PC.
looks like im returning the game back today... time to avoid 2K Games what a massive ☺☺☺☺up they did..
did they make you buy the game...?
it's been out for 7+ months, plenty of time to find out if it had a Free Ride mode, if it was so important.
assumption is the mother of all........
yea there is a free roam mod.
Freeride was originally in the game but thye cut it out , your only option is to buy one of the DLC's or download that mod.
they need to make a freeride DLC with every house open
I wouldn't really say they're "fine", they're like the original "Free Ride" from the original Mafia, it was pointless as in there was nothing to do out there, just drive around and look at the environments, they were fine back when you were forced to free roam in the main story, but now with the DLCs the Freeroam mods seem pointless, unless you really can't afford the DLCs, after all, it really should've been with the game to start with anyway.
No freeride... hate it. but you could alway's play the chapter we're you save Leo and then beat up frankie's housband. After that you're new objektive will be to ''go home'' and you could refuse and drive around in Empire Bay.
There are a lot of fun things to do in MII PC besides playing the game itself and following the story line. Download the free, "Free Ride" mod. When you open the garage you have a choice of driving most of the vehicles available in the game. You can drive around the city, get familiar with different areas, and try to out run the police or cause disturbances by robbing stores, gas stations, etc . I've had a lot of fun recently driving an armored truck, ramming police cars and then trying to escape by running them off the road or forcing them to run into other cars, etc. Or take a walk and gun down a police car and then try to escape on foot, steal a car, change cars, change clothes so that you can't be identified, etc. I'm enjoying MII on several levels and it is a lot of fun since I got my joystick to work for driving smoothly.
Would have loved free-ride mode after completing the game, but thats just how it is.
I don't direct my anger at 2KGames for not including it as it was a bad decision on their behalf and the game would have possibly become more of a success, however you have to remember that if the game isn't in '100% ready to be released' condition in terms of playability then they will cut out parts of the story and then make it DLC later on to get it released on time. This is because they have to meet a publishing deadline in which if they do miss it then they will be fined as well as missing the release date that they had agreed on, so even you the consumer will be annoyed that the game hasn't been release on release date as well as the company losing money to a missed publish date and have to pay to organise another.
