    Arrow Leaders Spreadsheet

UPDATE 6/19/12: Added Korea and all the expansion civs. All other data has been verified and updated per version 1.0.1.674

UPDATE 5/5/11: Added Denmark and all other data has been verified per version 1.0.1.275

If anybody is interested, I've updated my Leaders Spreadsheet and uploaded it to the web. The spreadsheet gives a nice overview of why certain leaders act the way the do and what to expect from them for those that are curious. Modders may also find this data useful. Hope you guys like it.

All data is copied from each leader's XML file. I also verified and updated all the existing data because some leaders have been tweaked with the latest patch. All DLC leaders are included as well.

Also, keep in mind that these values range from -2 to +2 when a game is created.

Ex. Germany's initial bias towards war when meeting new major civs is 6. That means he could be as low as 4 in some games and as high as 8 in other games.

The zip folder has been uploaded to Civfanatics:
    http://forums.civfanatics.com/downlo...=file&id=17324
It includes an Excel 2010 file, a file saved as an older Excel version, and an image for those without Excel.

Edit: The file is still waiting to be verified by the site's moderators. Here's another place to get the zip folder, especially for those without a Civfanatics account:
    http://www.filedropper.com/civ5leadersspreadsheet
(Note: don't click on the green "Download" button, I think it's an ad. Instead, click on the gray button "Download this file" which is further down. )

    v. 1.0.1.674:

Also, since the last time I edited it (a year ago), a bunch of the existing civ approach biases towards war and deception have been lessened, as well as some lessening of religion flavors to further differentiate the leaders. I assume they were changed in Gods and Kings.

    Civ Approach Bias War: Kamehameha -2, Pachacuti -2, Alexander -1, Bismark -1, Elizabeth -1, Gandhi -1, Isabella -1, Ramkhamhaeng -1, Suleiman -1, Washington -1

    Civ Approach Bias Deceptive: Hiawatha -2, Washington -2, Askia -1, Augustus -1, Harald -1, Harun -1, Isabella -1, Oda -1, Pachacuti -1, Ramkhamhaeng -1

    Flavor Religion: Bismark -2, Darius -2, Augustus -1, Napoleon -1, Oda -1

Pretty cool! Thx for the effort.

Nice job. Is there a legend available that explains the affects of each tribute? Some seem fairly obvious others less so.

This is great, I use this to select opponents depending of victory type I aim at. But to be able to filter I have to copy/paste transpose (no sure about the English word) can u pls make a version where u have attribute in a,b, c ....and leader in 1, 2, 3...

    once more, big thx!!!

I just updated the files and uploaded them again. Links are updated too. I just fixed an issue with the newer civ icons not sorting along with their column of data. The problem was that their image boundaries overlapped the cell boundaries. Works fine now.

I also unlocked the sheet (in case some users didn't know how to do it) so it can be edited if desired.

    Glad you like it, Robert!

Actually, there is no need to transpose.

First, make sure the sheet is "unprotected" and unlocked by left-clicking over the worksheet tab at the bottom.

Next, Select all the data (even the icons). Left-click, go to sort, then choose "custom sort".

Under the custom sort options, click on the "Options" button and choose "sort left to right". Now the "Column" header will read as "Row" instead.

I'm sure you know the rest...

    Very nice thanks.

I have to wonder about one thing though. I noticed that there are only 10 values in the entire table above an 8.

    There are six 9s:
    • Egypt for Wonder Competitiveness
    • Aztec for Boldness
    • France for Boldness
    • Aztec for Flavor_Offense
    • Greece for Flavor_Diplomacy
    • Russia for Flavor_Spaceship

    There are three 10s:
    • Ottoman for Flavor_NavalRecon
    • India for Flavor_Growth
    • Egypt for Flavor_Wonder

    There is one 12!!!!

    ...and the 12 goes to....INDIA!

    For growth?? No.
    For Friendship?? No.

    India gets a 12 for...FLAVOR_NUKE!

Yes, I checked the XML and this value is accurate, I can only imagine someone couldn't decide whether to pick 1 or 2, so they put both.

Interestingly there are also only 9 values below 3 in the table:
    There are eight 2s:
    • India for Victory Competitiveness
    • Aztec for Wonder Competitiveness
    • India for Boldness
    • Iroquois for Boldness
    • Greece for Warmonger Hate
    • France for Bias_Afraid
    • Japan for Bias_Afraid
    • Mongol for Bias_Afraid

    ...and just a single 1:
    • Aztec for Warmonger Hate

    A couple of other observations...

    Highest average scores:
    • Flavor_Spaceship - 6.96
    • Flavor_Expansion - 6.39
    • Flavor_Culture - 6.22
    • Bias_Deceptive - 5.91
    • Flavor_Religion - 5.91

    Lowest average scores:
    • Bias_Afraid - 4.43
    • CSBias_Ignore - 4.48
    • Flavor_Air - 4.48
    • Forgiveness - 4.78
    • Meanness - 4.83

    @mjs0

    Lol...

Wow, coincidentally, I actually just posted a rant regarding this. I noticed it too while I was entering the data and just laughed.

Also, within the spreadsheet, I "assumed" Elizabeth's Nuke flavor is 4.

I had to assume because her Nuke flavor is missing at the bottom of her XML file (lol...) and instead there are two entries for Water Connection flavor. The first one at 7 matches her old XML file plus it coincides with her favoring of naval strategies. So the 4 must've been intended for her nuke value... they probably just forgot to change the name of it when they copied the Water Connection code down to create it.

    Thank you!

I've been somehow "worried" about the original author of that stuff for weeks, Polynesia included and local Editing does it for me. I would have linked you to the TUBW.ods spreadsheet too on CFC... but their site has been experiencing difficulties all day. But, that reminded me i should update it also with Aqueduct & latest DLC.
Better than Bibor's (but not of his precious thread where some of his analytic text makes Diplo even more comprehensible!), in fact.

CFC, back in action so; TUBWN

Good question. That's one of the entries that I'm not quite sure of.
