Thread: Price of Downloadable Content is Outrageous

  1. #41
To misquote someone here (I forget who, my bad), Third World debt is outrageous, the price of a video game is trivially irritating.

Get some perspective and contain the hyperbole.

Why do you talk about the third world's problems on a games forum? Your post is pointless in this place. I don't see any problem in naming the prices of DLCs being outrageous, it's just the opinion of a forum member (btw, his name is Xill). The only ones who decide whether a formulation is intolerable or not are the mods/community managers. My message to you, Usarina: Stop your trolling! This is not the place for any political debate.

$2.50 is not outrageous. It may be more than the OP is willing to pay. That's his priviledge.

When $2.50 becomes outrageous, we'll need new words to describe $10 trillion.

It's all a matter of perspective. As I already said.

Not every post you don't understand is written by a troll.

$2.50? Did the goblin people who live with you under your bridge told you that? Because in the real word it's $5 for a single civ, not $2.50

The dreaded flaming-post from a "first time poster". Outrageous or courageous?

@rpsgc: Although you seem to agree to my post, the way you are trying to bump it isn't okay. This is no appropriate language.

@Usarina: My intention to write my post was to keep the thread stick to the topic (DLCs prices). For example, yesterday I read another thread where the OP compared the mods with Gaddafi. I' m so tired of senseless, ridiculous and absolutely inept political comparisons. I didn't mean to attack you personally. I'm sorry if I didn't understand you right, I'm no native speaker (as you surely have figured out already).

Guys, let's just go back to business and discuss CiV.

I bought Civ at a price of 40 Euro in a shop and both new-civs-packs on steam (had to pay about 8,50 Euro for the 2 DLCs). Compared to the (still increasing) 360 hours I played the game, it wasn't expensive - Civ is fun - I'm addicted to it
