Gm1 My India vs his Germans.....I drop off 5 vet fundy armies at 1000 bc outside of his cap...bypassed a choke with a boat...GG
Gm2 My Rome vs his India....really gg....I took france early, not sure if he took a cap but he never got London for monarchy...I was pretty well in the lead....he stayed at 2 tech for a while so I made cats for his attack and destroyed his fundy HA's when he got there.....I then dropped off two CA's and AA's from a Gal Fleet outside his cap. He destroyed it all with knights and legions....He ends up losing two KA;s to london and withdraws with me at 16-9 in tec...gg
Both games the only ai I had access to was England and Greeks. Makes it pretty hard to take any caps...

I won, he walks in on greeks but it turned out i was very close to greek cap and armied up and took it from him and then his cap 2 tiles away.
I'm sorry to bump this thread but why hasn't anyone responed to zef's good points about why England should be in this tier?
I have no problem with it. I didn't create the title so I cannot change the first post but I do possess both king titles and do believe england is stronger than where it is. So if anyone wants to challenge me to the title england can be played here

not much to say -
my romans beat his indians. I cornered him with nowhere to go with a early KT and he surrendered.
my germans beat his germans
he got an indian 3 pop cap early. I on the other hand got 7cog somewhat later.
I therefore got lots of legions and beat him to death.
he thought he had a good defense up - but it wasn't enough.. .reminds me of thrasher heh

now I offered him a rematch. shouldnt have started it right away as i really didnt have time - i blew a good start due to lack of focus and of course quality play by digital and although i got knights first I wasnt able to capitalize.
he had good acess to ai but i had more gold early and was able to camp his forest. he then came back and camped mine. then lost his cap but was in a string enough position ot survive.

Interesting that digital was calling me out on moving slowly despite the fact that I wasnt actually intentionally doing so - i even missed doing things like checking AI and stuff to try not to annoy him.. Is digital like a super fast player or somthing? i always thought the topp ranked guys would be ultra slow like pdfnanig... maybe it was just gamesmanship, i tell everyone I suck unless im playing slow with my book and stuff...
LoL@pfdnanig being"top ranked". He might have his/her name at top of leaderboards but he sure doesn't deserve to be there. I hate it when people try to make me play faster. It's irritating. I check tech tree a lot, talk to other AI's frequently, and am constantly adjusting my strategy. All this takes time. That's why i hate that fast ####ing timer. I think it's crap.
I love the fast timer, it isn't like chess so I like it. I hate when people are waiting there timer out just to double step, that is very annoying...
Thats weak dude I was up 1-0 and had already requested to finish that challenge last night before you dissappeared. You have 4 other king titles.......should have made him challenge for one of them......how lame....guess you were scared I take your cookies on your bday....

I may am have been annoyed by loosing 2 games so quickly with little that I could do. you got kt at 3500 and walkin on english at 3200 while my ai who has met no one and is only a 2 pop city has a unit in the cap at 3200. I get an army together and you find it almost immediately after you land your kt, nothing I could do.
2nd game I get a tech from my first barb and you get gold, I get walk in on india at 3200 and you get 7CoG at 3100.
but to be fair though you were using 3/4 of the timer at 3700 when I was asking you why you are taking so long. I understand needing time with multiple units but I am not used to someone needing nearly the whole timer that early and never ending their turn first. just a different style of play I guess. also I am used to playing friendly games, you seem to play more serious games. far more secretive. I tell people a bit more of what is going on on my end. maybe I shouldn't
that last game was gross. you settled near me with gold, I think all i got that whole game was a naming tile, no friendlies or barbs but I managed to get you off my trees and even weakly pressed you but you already had taken out egypt. I got a boat out and found rome at like 1200bc and then found 7CoG. I 4 beaker teched legions and took my 2 elite warrior armies up to rome and took them out... man their cities were nice. rome had a GH and was 7 pop, I got currency for taking it. then I took their 100g city which had the free market in it and they settled with 5 water tiles and 2 fish and I got republic for that and it was a pop 5. Taking those island cities put me back in the game. you got republic as your 4th tech and used a GS on monarchy for the 5th tech and teched knights so there was no way I was going to build on the mainland. I knew my cap was worthless. honestly i probably should have sold the units in there but ah well. I put out 5 more cities on the roman island and most were on whale, and I got math and nav first. I managed to kill his boat looking for my island but he got some of my armies out of the boat. I managed to keep his boats at bay and had multiple cat armies setup when he had to go.

played one vs griz.
my indians settled on oak, took out an AI (moscow) saw kt and got that - then sailed and saw AoC, got that saw digital and put a milita on his forest jsut to be a pain, then stumbled into 7cog. I then met romans and bought coL and sold currency and IW. then i found london and camped them with a spy trying to engineer a gb. stole the gb and sailed home.
I then built legions and soon got a gp of my own - a GL for my barracks city.
FWIW the map gave me a great defensive position but by the time griz turned up i had tomes of elite fundy legions ... game over
I have reclaimed my title from scottiex.

our settlers met at 3700 with neither of us having gold so we said our goodbyes and parted ways. He ends up settling like 1 tile from where i started so I knew exactly where he was. I got a friendly eventually took down some barbs for a quick 100g, found kt and aw for gp, took out france switched to early fundy, I was sending 2 vet warrior armies and a non vet horse army towards him when he threw in the towel. GGs
i walked and found arabs just 1 turn too far to get fundy from them. but other than that there wasnt much going on. i tried my luck to take the arabs but they were lucky and repelled my repeated attempts. it really ended up being too costly and I wasnt going to be able to get much going.
I won this off packrat. Not much he could do....I will go ahead and describe all 3 of my wins with this synopsis....
Gm1;2;3-I find a friendly or two and settle two tiles from him and beat him down.
3-0 me....ggs packrat
