Can someone put England in this tier if they're already in another? As soon as I saw the lower middle tier I thought England is much better than Japan, Greece, and Egypt. Then I saw Duke's hierarchy of tiers and it was exactly the same as mine: in the middle middle tier England, Germany, Rome, and India coexist very nicely together. I think all England needs to get out knights sometime in the 1000s is a quick cap and just one city with dye out of three or four. One of those cities can be set to hammers almost immediately before Feud is researched. And with settler movement those knights will be closer to your opponent than they used to be last year before everyone started settler movment, meaning that it takes less time to get them to their destination.
I don't really care too much, but as long as I'm in my office reading the Forum...

lol that strat works on me from time to time, but not usually. Depends on which city you nuke. I hope it ain't the city I'm building the world bank in! First game germans (me) vs indians
I got 7cog SoC and a couple of huts before 3000BC amd found him in 2900, then his HA attacked my elite warrior and took damage resulting in a no risk kill for my WA behind it. Chug E called it. That was bad luck Chug, the map won that one for me.
OK so india and rome left for me and germany and rome for Chug.

Finally got in the game my indians vs chug's romans - i got arabs fast but also had quite a bit of gold so played defensive. chug came for me but by then i had a 18 attack horse army waiting on a hill for him. it killed his HA and he quit.
so I am now a king of Xbox!

mostly fast games i forget the details but he beat me fast so new king of the middle tier is mawpawk - i understand its chalengers job to remember details

my indians vs his germans.
i got the greeks early and found him with a couple of galleys I then build some pikemen and prepared for the standard german attack. I killed a few of his tentitive probes and figured I had the game well in hand with all the useful bonuses and no vulnerable cities and a GS just wiating to pop somthng useful.. then we had er.. some disconection issues and ohwelll that how the cookie crumbles
anyway its ok maw we can switch to doing my english jap etc one
yea iv been disconnecting from xboxlive quite alot 2day, yea the game looked 2 be in your hands but as i proved 2 myself just recently in a serverly unbalanced game vs asmodeios that 1 should never give up! hopefu;;y my disconnecting issues will be sorted 2night....

game 1 my germans vs mortes indians.
i get a walkin on krakorum and start building warriors, morte has a bad start but still manages a decent game finding KT(which did nothing but force me 2 waste turns defending) and he gets angor wat so slips into republic while i pump out a small number of elite armies,. I knew i had 2 get morte before he had expanded to much and had the galley loaded and ready to attack but the little master rushed GW thus destroying my hopes ... or so i thought , i took the greeks out and switched 2 democracy skipping sweetly over techs to engineering and a GS for feudalism to seal the deal. way better start for me im sure .
my indians vs mortes germans
another sweet start for me taking out spain and krakorum with HA and finding angor wat(didnt realy need it as i had acess 2 fundy) while mortes armies tried to take little delhi, but he gave that up and probably went for easy targets, while i sailed my HA and galleon fleet in the backdoor.
i had way better starts but it still felt good 2 get my mojo back even if its only 4 a little while..

I'm sorry for Mawpawk that owns no titles at the moment, but I won the three games. I think I'm not a good writer, if he doesn't write something I'll try anyway. Good games, can't tell the best one but they were pretty balanced.
lol very bad writer! u only won 2 games which was enough 2take the title, i won 1 which was not gd enuf. (also morte beat me at call o duty, but i dare him 2 play battlefield then we shall see a different master!!( ggs

What sorts of times are you likely to be on?
pretty much opposite hours to me I'm guessing. so if you will be there I can come on early in the morning which would correspond to your afternoon. somthing like 4-6 GMT? Otherwise maybe you can suggest a time that is workable. I just cant do 7pm-5am sun-thurs GMT because of work (obviously its 8am-6pm mon-fri for me)

We played this FFA style involving myself Scottie & Mawpawk. First game we all picked indians. I left my whale behind and headed for a better resource I named a tile and settled next to a barb taking a bit of a risk as it felt I was heading nowhere. I get the barb at 1 flag which reveals oak but gives me BW, a blessing in disguise really. I started pumping out archers an bumped into Ma and choked him off. Scottie joins the party on a galley and ended up taking Maws capital. Neither have much gold but I get a caravan to aztec and sell bw. Scottie eventually comes with horses and take a weake city after I had taken Maws cap with my own horsemen. I sailed another army to his cap and take that too then he calls it.
Second game I am Rome versus two Germans. I get my 100g quite quick but decide to go against my usual play and be aggressive as I pop 7c0g after Mawpawk has taken out Scotties Berlin. I rush two settlers a barracks and a galley with some roads chucked in and make a mess of getting my 4 legion armies over to Mawpawk. I didn't want to risk losing galley 1 vs 1 so I landed west with a settler, rushed another settler and got it close to Berlin then made a road and sent the legions over. I was a bit too late really doing all this as Mawpawk had plenty of elite legions around and I learned the hard way that a fortified archer will not defend a legion army!! Great win there for Mawpawk though to say I had about 300 gold!!
Third game was just me and Mawpawk. My germans versus his rome. I'm on a huge peninsula but get an elite warrior army together and take downsome barbs for 100g city then rush barracks and pured out wave after wave of elites whilst he gets karakoun. All goes a bit quiet but he tells me he loses a horse army 9 versus 3 to arabs. Ouch. I eventually find arabs with 6 elite legion armies but they had a 24 defence vet gg loyal archer army there!!?? That ate up three of my armies as I was desperate for fundi but got COL. I let Maw make his defences whilst I tech to knights. A resynch detaches my GG from the army but had some fun with maws aechers as he tried to attack it lol. Got a GB from monarchy and rushed Sam castle. Sneaked two more armies up around on a galley and he killed them with cat army. Luckily my last army which had gone from the south was able to overrun his derences which wiped out the cats and I was home free.

I figured we were both dead. I had a warrior army and was considering defending my cap or attacking mawpawk but figured either of the two strategies would result in me dying at the hands of a plague of roman units.
So i was going to head back to attack you and hope that nothing would happen on mawpawks side (fat chance but I had to try somthing) or that he would beat me and I'd get a chance to force a three way tie (as opposed to you just outright winning)
In the end it sort of worked as mawpawk won.... but I had to go to bed long before you finished!!
