Played Scottie for this.
First was Arab vs Arab. A frantic game meeting early. Battles almost every turn, but as usual, Scottie has my number on the tactics. Win for Scottie.
Next my Spain vs his Aztec. A horribly slow start for me, eventually get the Pyramids, but get stuck in fundy as Scottie builds GW. We both expand, Scottie getting the first to bunuses but I cath up as he GS's Cruisers. He attacks winning Beijing but I steal 2 of his cities getting Steam. Freezes next turn. I have the EITC and lots of trade, but for the sake of moving on, Scottie is the new King.
All challenges his way.

hmm i thought that one was going to be a replay..
I think i could have taken back those two cities easily and i think maybe your defenses were weak and might have had issues unless you had engineering soon(i of course make peace after taking the cities back) but I was definitely going to go for the replay...
but whatever you want..
that arab game was awesome! you just had a seemingly unlimited number of horses and I was just falling back every turn... but you ran out of ooommph just at the right instant.. like the germans trying to blitzkreig during the russian winter
I was doing around 140 trade at the end there, after getting monarchy from you, but yeah, I was very open. Enough to rush a vet cruiser fleet, but you had all the production on land, mine was all islands.
I'll have a go at another title and let someone else have a shot at this.
yeah it was a big screwup not to clear the sea of your ships before moving on your cities, shouldnt have given you monarchy and steam - those were two nice techs for you to get. hey feel free to go for this title too - I need an excuse to play more against you!Originally Posted by JackHall2003

Played Mawpawk in three games and defended the title my aztec overwhelmed his spanish. He attacked with a whole lot of units but i defended with more legions and so forth.
my arabs lost to his aztec,
we were too close and he had a great start gold wise, i thought i was ok but i stupidly went after his WA with my horse because i thought it might be wounded.. I also tried to button race when i had the disadvantage which was also silly.
my spanish beat his arabs.
I sailed a galleon around behind his empire with a WA walked over to his cap and took it, mawpawks HA way down south was too far away
defended this against liam.
my arabs beat his spanish into submission. he came at me wiht a galleon fleet and some catapuilts but my units were cheaper and i had more of them and my cities were far apart and not so easy to reach.
my aztec beat his arabs. Turned up at his cap and just wandered in (well he quit but same difference as it was blitz and he had a milita defending) somthing like the mawpawk game.
trying to set one up vs multiplayer but he seems to have been busy.. better hurry up one of these guys has got to beat me eventually!

First game my arabs vs multi's arabs.
i settle in an ok spot and spot the zulu to the east. i send a warrior over there, then bang multi turns up to the west and I get a button race for my cap. on my screen my warrior attacks his on his screen his attacks mine. and.... it crashes!!!
however even on my screen my cap falls (despite his army getting killed) so its game over for me.
1-0 multiplayerbeast!!
second game my spain vs multis aztecs.
I start out close to him. I set up some defenses and he advises he knows the map. I rush a galleon and sail off to find.. 7cog! i rush 2 more galleons a barracks and some units.. and well things are going pretty well until i have a brain explosion and hand him my cap (attacking a bait warrior).
I am still well in it though because my units have galleon fleet support,.. but in the end i loose vs an AA and call it.
probably called it way too soon but it was a bit of a rage quit...
Multiplayer is hte new champion!!
So.. I give myself a bit of a slap and tell myself to play decent next game.
first game my arabs vs multi's arabs.
I get on a boat and find the SoC for an awesome 2 GH!!! (uugghh) seriously consider disbanding them both to get my 100g.. but hold off in the end. then I meet some ai and get osme caravans to them and the game really starts moving. I get Bronze for some defense as I know multi doesnt have his 100g. then I put 3 archers on a galley and go off in the direction of one of the ai (mongols). my fundy archers make short work of their cap and then i put them back on he galley and head off west.
soon i bump into multi.. ready for a galley drop.. but my archers are healing!!
oh well.. i unload next turn and block his forest and then aa vs horse for the cap and the win.
second game - aztec vs aztec
i start off on a peninsular. he blocks me in with a HA on a hill - i stop him killing my ha but i cant break through - meanwhile he has lots of gold from the ai and i have 0. i cant even get a galley to him due to the layou of the continent. multi wins.
spain vs spain
we start close and have some warrior wars. I have more gold and the wars end up by his capital.. in he end he cant hold out and his wa is worn down to 1 def where it is killed.
Scottie X is the new champion .. AGAIN!!!

Who's in Netherlands? Scott is New Zealand. There is Showtek in Germany/Denmark and some in UK...

Yes, I'm still surprised about that game though. You could have retained the title early making us going into a 2-1 possibility that first round. Scottie has officially showed me how powerful the Spanish can be early on if they make alot of money and have vet gal A's.
You forget to mention I started on a dang island with one barb, had to travel distance to get first artifact (AoC... useless with one city) and no gold. I really should have called it on that one but guess what guys... next game I was on a island again with Aztec... I called it that time though.

I didn't knew that. It's a bit egocentric as a nation to designate all the others with a certain word, like barbarian for those who didn't lived in Rome back in the days. And now we are stuck with pesky barbarian capturing our unattended caps in 3200BC.
At the same time, we have the equivalent in Quebec calling RoC, everything outside of Quebec. It's only towards the rest of Canada not all the world though...
Zealand on the other hand is the largest island of Denmark .... which is pretty close to the netherlands. (in hte big scheme of things)

then we played one extra game arab vs aztec. I had him pretty much dead but had to leave. as i was leaving he wasted my attacking armies.
Er.. pawk can have that as a win if he wants, or a replay.
at least 10 games in a row!your gonna have to remind me of the game set you won the title back? we can replay the last 1 or i just put the title in limbo until next time for a clean slate , i needa get a little notebook 2 keep track of things...my johnny neumonic memory aint what it used 2 be

I won it back with the series beginning with the aztec game where your arabs had 2HA turn up at their cap early on.
in game 2 I think i was spain wandered a long way and just quit out.
then I won with um must be the arabs against your aztecs.. - anyway that was the one that after that i said "somthing like "oh I won one!" (meaning 1 series) that was the 2nd to last game - then the last one was the arab one vs my aztec.
But if I see you it doesnt matter we can just play again

I was actually paying attention 'well to the recording of who one - not so much the actual playing of civ hahaha... so yeah i won the last one.
my aztecs beat scotties arabs
big comeback game for me as i started on an island with 2 barbs 1 of which gives me pottery, scottie takes gold and a couple of a.i cvaps on the mainland, my future looks bleak as i spend the last of my purse 2 rush a galley carrying 1 warrior and 1 horse while i set my cap 2 apple picking luck seems 2 be with my troops as i dont met scottie for a long time and by then im in republic and have made about 10 cities scotties green horde takes a 4 pop city off me than a GB arrives with a greatwall so im safe for at least 6 turns , i target feudalism and navigation and thats when my continued rallying and persistant guerilla tactics push scottie 2 the limits and snap his iron grip on the game , scottie did offer the restart as it was 3800 when i found out about my island but i thought it would be cool 2 try an make a game from a not so strong start, cant rememberwhat artifact was out there?
yeah i mucked around. my start was pretty slow actuallytook ages to get 100g etc. and wasted a lot of time getting the 2nd ai cap.

Well Maw defended 2 to 1. All 3 games neither of us really could've done anything different to change the outcome. GG's Maw, definitely want a rematch. I think its fair for every ass whoopin I give you in halo wars you return the favor in civ

yes well done 2 denied, his persaverance came thru and won the title, im one of the chief advocates for these titles 2 be taken and defended constantly so do us proud and see if you can hold it, im sure theres a few hungry wolfs around here that are gona bite yo a$$ gd luck
