Post Could 2k add a new difficulty, or buff the hard one?

    Heyo,
I was wondering if it would be possible to incorporate a higher difficulty setting in Bioshock 2; I finished the game on hard no sweat (except for dying twice in siren alley - only deaths/vitachambers). Could there be a Survivor difficulty like in the PS3 Bioshock 1? Would really like to see that, because one of my main gripes with this game was that it was just so easy = didn't bother experimenting as I had full ammo, wallet constantly full, etc.

One major thing - the security cameras. If you increase the difficulty would the security cameras become more of a threat and harder to hack? (hacking is really, REALLY EASY - the needle is pretty slow imo) Seeing a security camera in BS2 was just another groan and hack dart - always full on hack darts (if they were in a useless spot i'd just destroy them )

Sorry, but if you noticed this is a bump of a tech support thread. Just completed this game again on hard with full ammo and wallet most of the way through. If their still going ahead with the new dlc for the pc version, could 2k at least incorporate a higher difficulty as well? its just too easy on hard.

Just to say, this game would be waaaaay better if they made hard more difficult. They can just do it in a patch?

If anyone of the devs reads this, can they reply below? (just wondering if they still read the forums)

Yeah, we still read on the forum (nowadays it's mostly viewers, but we're trying our best to maintain it) I'm sure it's easier to play through because there's more versatility.

    A DEV A DEV

But seriously, thanks for replying. It must take a bit of time to make and release a new difficulty, let alone Minerva's Den and the Trial thingies. The problem I had was by end game I was completely full up on ammo for most guns, my wallet was full to the brim ($800) and I literally had extra ADAM (Saving Little Sisters gets you more ADAM than harvesting? + Rewards). Maybe by making less ammo and money drops, vending machines would need to be relied on a bit more, I never used the ammo machine, only the CoV for Health Kits, and that was still pretty rare; so many health kits lying around.

The security was a non-threat to me at all times. It was simply too easy to hack everything, and there were very few turrets and cameras in difficult positions. Had no use for the various engineering tonics lying around .

It isn't possible to tweak some of these things in a patch? Or should I look for mods?

I'd like to see Xbox 360 controller support included. Bioshock 1 had it for the PC and that is how I prefer to play. Bioshock 2, while not having it, I am still able to use a 360 controller with using a program called Pinnacle Game Profiler. However, that support has some minor limitations like the shoulder buttons only cycling through selections: there is no radial pop-up to use for weapon/plasmid selections.

I don't mean to hijack your thread SammyBoiFTW, this is just my personal wish item!

Guys, the only people who are dev's are those who have "2K" or "GBX" in their user names, depending on the board/game being discussed. I will note that impersonating developers is against forum rules and will result in bans.

Is fine, maybe if this does get read by a dev, this could be a wishlist...
