Some simple sample ideas are basically what you said, as well as references/links to sources and other info. Have a personal opinion to get readers questioning and talking. Quotes, videos, pictures, graphs or articles about the weapons would be great.

These are very simple ideas, but I hope it has helped in some way.

  3. Thank you for your ideas

Something by the Sea would be great, even if it is kinda copying, its a great concept, I sadly missed SbtS and would really love to be a part of another!

If it's a fan site, then mooch information off BioShock Wikia. You can also add images of America's prosperous times during the 20's, possibly fan art, and even open a discussion forum. Just lay low on the entire 'You're number one source for Bioshock:Inifinite info' vibe.

I expect a link once its finished.

Also, you could make it sort of like the layout of this site, with music as well, like this site: http://rapturearchives.org/

Except make the music from the time period of Infinite. (it takes place in 1912)

Rest assured, I am working on a 100% complete archive of sits from Day 1 - 180, I have currently run out of web space for storage (archive is ~14GB), so I am truncating assets that are shared across days of the sits archive, which is what is taking extremely long between, school, work, and business traveling over the last 4 months.

Appreciate the reference, what I would like to know is, do you prefer music playing on the main page? would users mind music on other pages as well? are users/able to locate the method for turning the music off easily?

The reason I ask this, is because the site is getting modified to allow dynamics to be applied instead of the static nature it is now. Most changes will occur under the hood and end users shouldn't notice to much of a difference.

any info you provide would greatly help.

P.S. Sorry for hijacking this thread.
    End of Line.

Here is a little something that people might be interested to see.

Back when KatMann was creating Operation Apollo, I did a test render to try and make it feel more like Something In The Sea. I didn't spend very much time on it, since it was just a test, so the models might look familiar but it was fun to do.

My advice is, give your website a unique design, theme and focus, otherwise it won't stand out or generate interest compared to any other site.

  12. Hey, after considering your comments, you can see the website here : http://bioshockways.com !
So, what do you think ?

Thank you google page translate. Although I sincerely wish I spoke french, I had to view it in english. And it looks like its off to a great start, I'll be checking in more often and I hope you always have some great info.

Great job Cyclone. Ce magnifique. =D

Have you tried posting this on irrational forums? You may get a few more fans. Although, try not to advertise it. Just, show that its there and interesting to take a gander at.

EDIT: After further viewing your site, I am very impressed by the detail you have tried to include. Especially for images and currently known weapons and tonics. Although I do believe I have found a glitch already. You have a hyperlink under the Bioshock Toolbar called "Notrums". This link doesnt send you anywhere but to the page you are currently at. If I find anything else, I'll be sure to tell you if you want.

This is challenging my 11th grade French, but the site looks very neat and tidy. I'm looking forward to seeing more information on the site.

  17. It's really nice of you!
I try to do everything possible to make the best and the most comprehensive site on Bioshock: Infinite!

About the Nostrums, the page leads nowhere because we still have no information regarding the Nostrum, I put it just to say it will be well presented and complete when we have more information.

    Thank you again !

PS : Yes, i posted on Irrational forum here

  18. Hey, do you have new ideas for the website ?

Your website is just starting, so trying to update it certainly wont help. I love the layout and info your giving already, although I sincerely wish I could read french a little better!

Simple gimmicks/ideas for it though? Perhaps a more lively background? The black is nice, but if you could tinker with having the Columbian background or simply overlooking a field in the sky or a Columbian propaganda sign or anything! That would be an eye appeaser! NOTHING BAD WITH THE BLACK THOUGH! If all else fails, just keep it.

I also know that Im just one person adding a comment, so above all else do not model the site on my opinion. Try to get more feedback, Ive already told all my local Bioshock friends about it! So I hope you stick true to it. And that its a great database for info until the game is released. (And perhaps a little after?)

Yeah I agree that the black background doesn't suit Infinite. Black for Rapture maybe.. but Columbia needs a brighter page.

  21. Hey Ryans Rapture and FireyFate, thank you a lot for your comments.
I'll see what I can do for the background and I'll let you know

  22. Hello,

After all your comments, I am working on a new website:

    - Site much wider
    - More secure
    - More flexible
    - Many more in the universe Bioshock
    - New in the pages in the comments, articles
    - And you will be able to edit the pages of the characters (to be later)

Its amazing!!! It looks much more professional and the little details such as the citations/quotes are very clever. I thought the first site was grand but I really think youve outdone yourself on this one. Cant wait for the english translation, but nonetheless. What a fantastic job.

  26. Hey thank you a lot !
It's nice to say that !

Yeah, i'm actually working on the translation

  27. Just a message in order to say that i'm working on the Businesses page
And the faction page ( http://bioshockways.com/Factions ) opened

Yeah it's a bit difficult to have a real translation in english, if I want, i would have to write my articles/pages in french and then write it in english.. It's a lot of works... execept if someone want to Translate it

So, Warden Watts opened, and normally tonight the Businesses page will open

Waitaminute.. was that little footer of the propaganda picture there before? If so, I'd like to say its in excellent taste and im glad its there. If its new, great idea! It lightens up the site a bit.

Glad to see your still going hard on this, its easy to see the effort. Great job again Cyclone.

Now, if we can only find a translator who would re-do the site in English constantly....

  32. Hey !
Yes it's the propaganda picture with G. Washington !
thank you it's really nice of you!

Yeah ! we have to find it

  33. Hey !
    Bussinesses page opened !
And it is the Business page of Columbia provided most of the net, you'll find more than 11 companies already listed !

Once again, the amount of effort and detil put it is fantastic. The constant updates of photos and the "Name in the Game" contest is really cool. Cant wait till they release more info so that pages like the "enemies" page will be a bit more full.

Keep it up cyclone, you encourage me to learn french every day.

  38. Ohh thank you again !
Yeah i'm trying to put a lot of details, in order to have a full website.
As you can see in the Businesses page (Entreprises in french )

Actually i'm not at home, but tonight, i will add a lot of new pages !

Thank you again for your support !

  39. Hey, Bioshock Ways opened the Bioshock Ways Files
Then, we have new screenshots, and we discovered a new Vigors !
