And this is from a French game store which means it's using the European cover. The "smirk" isn't really a smirk in the US version, it's just the way his mouth is forced open with a cigar in his mouth. Doesn't really make up for it, though. I wish we had the Euro cover. I'll get a friend to scan it and send it to me.

I was going to rename this thread "Collector's Edition Contents Revealed?" with a question mark, but I discovered that renaming thread titles doesn't actually rename thread titles. Why is that anyway? Seems like a silly thing to do and many forums employ this limitation. Anyway....
Is that legit? If so, then 2K is about to deliver the best collector's edition I've ever seen.
And I intend to get at least 3 of those along with the normal release. I'm a Duke Nukem collector, don't ask.

No one else has announced it, which would be happening with all the gaming sites reporting on it if 2K was ready to go with this and had sent out the official announcement.
Each of the features is a privilege. Just like being able to edit the content of your own posts and posting live image links. Sometimes the features get turned off because people abuse them. That's happened here at times, but they usually get turned back on after a while.
Renaming thread titles is something that rarely comes up, and is easily handled by a mod upon request. On the flip side, some people would surely use that feature to spoil things for others or to post something objectionable and then change it before a mod or admin sees it. Hypothetically speaking.

Why doesn't 2k officially confirm / deny whether this is infact the Special / Collector's edition of DNF ? Is it so difficult to officially acknowledge / deny ?
They were probably making an epic video of opening up the box of the CE edition.
I guess their mood just dropped to a very low lever. This is definitely not a reveal they would do. Maybe french are angry at the americans again.(reason ?)

According to this much higher-res version of the image it is indeed a fake. But that doesn't mean it's not official. Could be a digital mock-up.

It is indeed a photoshop thing but that's how all CE photos look like. They don't gather all the stuff and take a picture of it.
To add to it's legitimacy, you can see the bust has been taken with a photo camera upon further inspection.
The post cards have images of Duke that don't have a clean source that I know of. All the versions that I've seen are either from PAX or events with photo cameras.
I really don't like the "1 of 2.000" is THIS REALLY GOING TO HAVE ONLY 2.000 COPIES???

The bust looks absolutely badass. I hope it isn't just some cheap "Made In China" piece of plastic but of plaster or even marble like in the case of Geralt's sculpture.
Its obviously leaked, or 2k/Gbox would have said otherwise.

Looks like any official image of a Collector's Edition. If some reason this was fake (which I highly doubt), then who ever did it has too much time on their hands and did a really ☺☺☺☺ing good job.

Actually I was thinking the bust really looks like an artist's rendition, not a photo. Look at Duke's right shoulder.
I love those postcard images (seen at PAX in frames like a museum or art gallery). I've been waiting forever for them to be available in some form.
I hope that the art book is really extensive, encompassing "History, Legacy & Legend" as the title suggests. However, I know with the half size and probable length, it will be great but it won't be amazing. There's so much art they could include, depending what they had access to, they could really go behind-the-scenes with a lot of interviews and art from the very beginning of Duke through all the development stages of DNF.
The pattern on the back of the playing cards is interesting...
If they only make 2,000 copies of this, that would be... an unbelievable mistake.

Oh, shouldn't the U.S CE version be more superior than say over sea CE? considering Duke will publish by an American company(2K)? I'll be darn to heck if Europe's CE has more bad-ass contents.

In my opinion, publishers should release the same CE in each country that they decide to make the CE available. Fans are fans. All fans, no matter where they live, deserve the same awesome CE package.
If you look at the certificate in that pic it show only 2,000.00 will be available. This makes me nervous, if true the "In the Club" members over at Gearbox should get first dibs imo.
Yeah, we get that... you've said it at every Duke forum around.
But, a lot of times companies make fake images to get an idea for a real product. Mock ups, conceptual drawings.... images that look real until they are looked at much closer. Hence... fake. But could very well lead to something real.

Only 2000 made huh? To make it even better, a mere 100 of these could have the poster of Duke with 4 real signatures on it...Geroge, Scott, Randy, and Jon St Jon. That 100 would be ultra valuable.
