bioshock 2 installed but no start up.
after patching it shows this error message <?int?Core.Errors.NoGFWL?>
then I installed gfwl etc. from microsoft website but still the same error message
I tryed deinstall and reinstall in several combination first gfwl then bioshock 2 and without patching and so on, but nothing works.

Can you get a screenshot of this error?

I'll help any way that I can but it may be a weird Games for Windows issue.

Is it the retail version of the game or a download?

i try to start with auto run and click at the autorun menu 'play'

that is all and when i click 'OK' it open firefox with this url:http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=128962

i tryed now to run the game direct in the game folder 'Bioshock2Luncher.exe'
the multiplayer works but the singleplayer shows the same old error message

I would recommend renaming the user files location, and this is in Documents/My Games

    Rename from Bioshock2 to Bioshock2x

(depending on version of Windows and its respective configuration then it may be in appdata)

    I have Win7 Ultimate 64bit... found it in AppData/Roaming/
renamed Bioshock2 to Bioshock2x tryed to start the Singleplayer and same error message.
    Bioshock2 created a new folder in AppData/Roaming. Now I have Bioshock2 and Bioshock2x.
Is there any config.ini or something like this where I can say to Bioshock2 that GFWL is on my pc and so on??

I'm certain this has a simple resolution.

    Either:

    a) rename the xlive folder (should be hanging around in appdata too) to force a re-download of your profile

    or

    b) at the main menu press the Home key and select to Create New Profile. Scroll down this text to the bottom paragraph and find the highlighted text CREATE LOCAL PROFILE. This is like an offline account.

One of those two should do it. If not, do let me know.

    Question Same Problem

Now just bought Bioshock 2 on the PC like a blind deer and now I'm a little peeved by all the running around i need to do to get one game to start anyway, long story short I have managed to fix most of the problems encountered but this last huge barrier has me stumped. its the <?int.core.errors.no.GFWL?> error. Now I know what your thinking that it was anwsered above but its either blind or because i'm a bit computer illiterate but i can't for the life of me find the create the offline account or renaming the files work. Again sorry for the stupid post (if it is indeed stupid) but a point in the right direction would help a lot, please give me detailed numbered instructions (pretend your talking to someone whos using a comp for the first time) and give plenty of internet links.

    TYVM in advance
