Directx 11 doesnt work, worked fine yesterday!

Hi, I've been playing Civ5 with directx 11 for a while now, everything was going perfectly. Then, today, I run the game, it plays the intro movie, and bam! Black screen. No error or anything, just a black screen with my monitor power light flashing. I could still hear the music so i know the game didnt crash. Furthermore, I can even alt+ctl+delete out of the game, and even get a glimpse at the ingame menu saying: "This will close the game, are you sure?".

What the hell happened between yesterday and today to make it stop working? Directx 9 runs fine, but i want directx 11. Im going to update my drivers, just in case, but I did that 5 days ago.

I have no idea how to deal with this problem so please help.
    Thanks.

Thats a symptom of a resolution mismatch

Can you try altering your resolution through the INI file, and see if that helps (or just delete the whole Civ5 folder from you my docs/mygames, if you dont have any savegames to worry about)
