Noob PS3 question: TK, using what you grab?

Just starting to try and learn to use TK effectively. Getting better with it, but something came up yesterday that shows me there is something I don't know. That is, when I grab something I want to use, how do I use it?? It came up because I was playing the map where there are two Adam viles behind a broken door. I had TK and managed to grab them, but then I couldn't use them. They just floated in front of me like anything else you want to heave at an enemy. Obviously, when I grabbed this, it wasn't to throw it, it was to get the 10 points. But I couldn't do it. I tried the X button, which I thought was how you did it in single player, but that didn't work. So, when grabbing something I want to use, adam, eve, ammo, whatever, how do you use it once you TK it???

When you grab an adam vial, ammo, or eve with TK, it automatically activates and gives you the 10 points, or refils your eve or ammo. Then all that is left to do is throw the empty container at an enemy and shoot them in the face.

yep it automaticly grants you the eve you werent paying enough attention to your screen

Whoops. No, I guess I wasn't. Was there a message about getting +10 for the vial that I didn't see also? Man, I do remember that my Eve was full when I grabbed the vial, so maybe there was nothing to see, unless of course you only "slowly" drain the vial and so it effectively refills your eve for awhile, keeping it full? I'd be shocked if that were happening.

no, the eve hypo you get refills you like if you just took it, after its just an object you can throw, no gradual eve refill
