Thumbs down Yet another Issue Game Freezes on descent to Rapture!!

O.K this is an issue i have had with this game after trying too solve it since i bought the game via Steam 3 days ago.
I have searched these forums and steam forum and tried many updating, patch, config video settings ,installed and uninstalled programs, reloaded windows back on raw with just updates and Bioshock all too no avail.

I have read somewhere that someone has the same problem as i do but no solution has been resolved is this a graphics driver issue and yes i have tried the hotfixes from ATI/AMD.

The game loads fine no issues and i see everything i should see at the crash site and up until i enter the craft and make descent too rapture the game freezes right on the part where the slides come up the slide with the 2 smoking people.
I can ctrl+alt+del and terminate the application there for the game is not locking up my machine so there must be a driver hitch or game setting glitche somewhere in the case as it seems that the error is not hardware or windows based. I can post my dx diag specs but its too long too post what parts of it would be needed too help locate the problem?????

Please anybody that can help or that has this issue please help
I do have a intermediate to advanced knowledge of pcs but this one has really got me i feel this is an issue that noone has been able too sort out yet.
I have also tried three copies of the game (d/led 3 times) incase the game had corupt files.
Steam sems too like the cache files for the game and the integrity of the files are fine.
I really dont know what else too try i have reported a support ticket through the proper support portals but have not heard anything in 36 hrs have now had this game for more than 48 hrs.
Thank You any feedback much appreciated.

That should be it. Right Click on Bioshock in steam, go to 'set launch options' and add -dx9

O.K here are the results i run the game in DX10 mode game locks up every minute or so DX9 seems too run fine no issues.
To play this game through on dx9 is rather bad will mean i will have too start again when the game is stable on DX10 and supported under all cards and configs at least with patches too fix instability i hope we dont have another battlefield fiasco on our hands at least this game is a single player offering.
