Hello,
What's the purpose of converting cities/city states to your religion? I'm sure I'm being dense about something.
I actually managed to convert the world, but I couldn't figure out what...
If anyone cares... I still am playing this game, love it and will buy DLC! :) Well over 400 hrs now...
I got Might and Magic VI... Makes me really appreciate how AWESOME Civ 5 is.
After some 400 hours, I take breaks, but I know I'll be cracking out Civ 5 again. :)
I've found culture victories easier than warfare since happiness is tougher post-patch.
Movement: Has anyone else seen their troops move into a flat hex and use their entire movement? Happens to me fairly often.
Hide yield/resource/etc: Since the patch, this often gets stuck "on"....
Regarding it not going obsolete:
I think the patch screwed up movement... I often see my troops moving one hex into flat terrain and stopping, even in unclaimed territory. As in, no great wall...
Happiness is much more difficult post patch. Probably the new modifiers are being applied.
Yow, post-patch happiness is tough! Playing on king, and it is a booger.
Not a complaint or comment on the balance; Just an observation.
Also enemy AI tends to attack more often, which I...
As soon as it's released, I have 2 new Civ players.
Although I think wonders have huge gameplay value, I agree that the presentation of building them is severely unimpressive compared to Civ IV.
Of course, winning the game is severely unimpressive....
Definitely looking forward to hotseat. :)
Absolutely well-deserved. :)
I have never seen a nuke in my 250+ hours of play. However, I rarely go for military victories. Does my peacenicky approach protect me?
Playing at King level I always get at least one or two that tie to my strategy. I notice the happiness ceiling more often than construction pre-req problems.
Yeah, anything that makes gameplay more fluid is a plus. :)
No way. At about 250 hours, still playing it and probably ready to graduate from King to Diety. Game has gotten immeasurably better with each patch and is very balanced, IMO.
Speaking from a...
This is some simple UI stuff that would not only "be nice", it wouldn't be a difficult inclusion.
When a deal began is only important because it lets you know how many turns remain in the deal;...
I don't think it does. It shows what luxuries they are offering, but not what they want.
Also, it tells you when the deal was started, but to see which deal it is you have to click on it. If you...
I wish there was:
A display that told you which luxury/strategy items other civs want. (Rather than having to click on them and check.)
A deal tracker that tells you how many turns are left...
Open trade routes is a Civ 4 feature I do miss. :)
Do you need the disk to play offline?
That would cause some problems. Imagine granting open borders to a civ and you cut off half their troops in the middle of a war.
Monastary. :)
New patch really reins in aggressive strategies, IMO.
Populations grow faster thanks to aquaducts and granary mods, making happiness suddenly evaporate. There's also the "happy building" tweaks......
