I loved the game too, start to finish. from when 'somewhere beyond the sea' echoed at the start it gripped me and i could barely pull myself off of my pc for the entire week playing it. kudos ppls.

definitely recommend a bigger power supply. 5 hard drives + physx card. damn. any shut down issues i've had in the past have been due to lack of power.

tried that and it didn't werk :( i did a dual boot of xp today and its workin tonight, game looks beautiful! have to use fov trainer tho, makes it look less crowded on my widescreen monitor.

Why is there no tech support phone number to call in Australia? I downloaded from STEAM and the 'Manual' (pdf) I got with it has American and Canadian Toll free numbers... um... they aint Toll Free...

don't know if it helps or not, my pc used to do that when i didn't have a big enough power supply? not on all games just ones that pushed my system (think it was half life 2 back then)

to uninstall the demo i just ran the demo setup exe again, it said do you wish to uninstall, said yes.
however it leaves the folders there

did it, still came up with same error. only thing it did different was a lil window came up saying steam is preparing to start bioshock, but that was cut off by the parental message
setup steam account in other profile, it did some updates on steam for a second, ran bioshock , exact same problem, all Parental Controls switched OFF
