I was doing that too, but i eventually gave in. It looks great and nothing is broken.

The guys at Gamestop said they were sending back all the ones they knew were broken.

My figurine's drill arm is broken off the PC version limited edition. I took pictures :

Busted Drill Bit!
My figurine had a broken drill, the first 2 Cm or so. Instead of milking 2K for everything they offer, I found it in the box and glued it back on with some wood glue. (Could find the Superglue)
By the way, The game ROCKS! Soundtrack blows. 3 tracks of (What the hell?)

I heard that you get a artbook with the figurine so I broke off its drill and sent it back now I am waiting for a response.
