Smile Irrational Games - SWAT5?

Hello all,

If I've understood correctly Irrational Games was split into two 2K offices; What I've been trying to find an answer to is; What about the SWAT series?

Surely there is plenty of potential in it for more games, especially with todays graphics and ai; there are still people playing the previous games, which is a testament to their strong support. There's a petition going for more SWAT games as well.

Do any of you know what is happening to SWAT, perhaps they've sold it to a different company?

Thanks a lot for any information; There seriously aren't any better co-op squad based shooters out there; and with a new and fresh game I'm sure it'd gain even more fans. I love the twist of having to really check my fire; it isn't a game where you run and gun at everything, it's great.

I myself don't know much about SWAT but it is very possible it is being made as we speak.

After 2K Boston/Australia made their blockbuster BioShock they delegated BioShock 2 to their new studio 2K Marin, leaving Boston/Australia to work on a completley different project.

SWAT5 maybe? Who knows.
But I woudn't hold your breath.

Where is the possibility?

Hay everyone

I was just looking around the forums actually to see if there was any referance to a new installment to the swat series when i found this thread.

Personally i feel there is still a massive market for another installment for this game.

More recently every game seems to have moved towards a more arcade style of game play with the COD series taking over, OK they have amazing graphics and realism in some ways but they lack the true to life feel that swat 4 had. SWAT is the only game I personally have ever played where i feel like the character in th game. The story lines had so much depth to them. This is still my favourite game and ive played all of the modern FPS and other genres. Infact myself and oter people i used to play along side with still have a server for the game and even just checking the server listings show at least a hundred servers still running.

Anyway theres my opinion, what other game lets you take on the realism that swat4 had which made it so great?

Any info at all on the future of this title would be much welcomed!

Thanks chris

hi guys!!

I totally agree with you take from this saga playing swat 3 through 4, and for me there is no game more real and more fun than him.

SWAT has the characteristic of being the best fps in terms of movements and the best player cooperative mode that there seems a shame not to continue a saga more. even so it will play swat!!.

would appreciate information on a possible launch swat 5.

I want to ask this too. Still playing Swat 4 and I really need a new part.
Please 2k, give us a new Swat Title. It could be so cool with new technologies. .
