Will the game actually play?

I got a game made by 2k called Oblivion and when I brought it home it wouldn't play. I took it back to the store three times and got a bran new copy, and it still wouldn't play, the movies and the music started and stopped throughout the game. I called 2k Helplines and they said it was a fault with most of the Oblivion games and they were aware of the problem. My Xbox 360 is only about two months old so I know its not my console as I have many other games where this isn't a problem.

Will this problem be present in BioShock?

i doubt it will have the same problems, it was more likely a part of the devs responsibility, irrational are by far the best [/irrational fanboism]

We can only wait and see, though chances for another game being messed up are highly unlikely.
I recently bought The Darkness, which is another 2K published game, and now it runs flawlessly for me, so I guess it was Oblivion.
P.S. 2K published Oblivion, not developed it. Just thought I'd let you know.

Us too. Only a whole month for us Americans, and a month and three days for the U.K and the Aussies.

I think I can wait the three days, I'm not going to move to America just to get the game three days earlier that U.K and Australia :P Whats wrong with Reaper?

But, if you do, I'll put it this way. He is the posterchild for all that is completely wrong with the internet, and that's all I'll say.
He's banned now, so other than him going on his constant rampages, which are gone, these forums are virtually clean and friendly.

I hope you can get Oblivion working. It's a great game! Bioshock should work though, but maybe get it from a different store. I don't know.
