-annoying kids that act and look like they're gay, but they aren't
-commercials, half the time I think they actually loose business
-lolcats
-horror movies
-rollercoasters
-etc...

lolcats: lol cats are supposed to be dumb. What makes them so appealing is the language of The Internets that's in them (k, wif, bai, etc.)

Horror movies: Well some people just like to be scared. It'd be hard to explain, but that's just it.

Rollercoasters: I think that's just an appeal to the fact that some people like to go fast coupled with that wierd feeling you get when you're in free fall (or close to it)
