Bioshock Difficulty Mod! *9/8/07*
*This is a difficulty mod for Bioshock made to increase its difficulty on easy, normal and hard modes*
*This mod was released in September 9, 2007* http://www.megaupload.com/?d=G16MQ8DQ Bioshock Difficulty Mod made for those that really want a challenge!' 1) Wrench does 1/5 the amount of damage it used to do! 2) Rosie's have 2x more health! 3) Bouncers have 3x more health! (The first Big Daddies are not effected) 4) Ammo and money are alot more scarce! 5) Plasmids and Tonics now cost quadruple what they used to cost! 6) Most Gatherers Garden have 9 supplies of Health, Eve and Genetic Slots Upgrade! 7) Harvesting Little Sisters now give 400 Adam, saving gives half. Have all the tasty adam you can drink! 8) Most Circus of Values Vending Machines no longer sell ammo or AutoHacks! 9) Most Bandito Vending Machines sell AutoHacks! 10) Vending Machines and Health Stations are a lot harder to hack! 11) All Health Stations yield a free First Aid Kit if you break them. Can be broken with a wrench! 12) Many Splicers have alot more health. 13) Vending machines now only sell 4 films per roll. 14) Slight tone down to the crossbow's power. 15) Chemical Thrower does damage with every hit now for all ammo types. 16) Thug Splicers on Welcome to Rapture have less HP. 17) Items from Circus of Values and Bandito now cost double. 18) Most likely compatible with future versions of Bioshock. *I have not been able to finish the game due to school and other stuff so I was not able to see if the game became too hard or if there any bugs. Also don't espect the game to be unbelievebly hard, if it was then it woudlnt be fun* If you find any bugs can you leave a message on this thread, and yes the beggining is incredibly hard! why did u upload it to megashare. 90% f the time they are unavailable to free users. what's wrong with rapidshare.com?
but thanks for this. how did u edit the files? what program did u use? notepad or anything else? personally i wanna make my own changes to the game for my own use and i wanna learn from your files what to change. any tips? i wish there would be a way to make more powerful plasmids available in the first levels. if i play bioshock the second tim earuond i would like to start where "i left off after finishing the 1st time" (with more plasmids and slots) so i can toy around and have the fun i couldnt have originally. if there was an option to buy every plasmid in every gtherer in the game (even the early ones) than that could be really cool. u think that's possible? |

I noticed that there was a certain $ chance of not getting a first aid kit from destroying the things, I changed it to 100%.

How to make it work ? when I go in the game it replaces "hard mode" ?

Come on, they need to add the option to edit your post... I mistakenly pressed enter!
The game is still pretty easy, due to the massive amount of resources that is already put in the maps. Mainly healthkits and evehypos. Heres somethings I wish I could do or might do if I come up with a new patch. 1) Breaking "Medical Stations" won't give you health kits. 2) U-invent requires 3x more resources. 3) Health kits heal only half. 4) Plasmids waste 2x more eve. Telekenisis wastes 5x. 5) Exploding "Barrels and Tanks" do 2x less damage. 6) Vita-chambers cost $50. 7) Everything becomes is 2x harder or more to hack. The only actually problem with difficulty I find with Bioshock is the abundant amount of reasources, telekenisis is overpowered and theres no penalty for dying. |
