Patch servers are down?!
Just got home with my copy, and can't even install it due to the patch servers being down? Dismal effort guys.

OK, having just registered to rant, I cannot be bothered to find any other place to do it so this thread shall be blessed with my wisdom.

I have a widescreen monitor. I do not care about the fov. I played the demo. I loved the demo. I pre-ordered the game a very long time ago. I cannot praise Bioshock enough.

However, since I cannot play it, my frustration is unbounded. I am currently downloading a pirated version in the hopes that the copy protection has been removed. If you want to moderate that out, just clip the paragraph, please.

Securom has stolen what should have been one of the finest moments in gaming history, and I will never, ever, PAY for anything which uses it again. Also, 2k can go fish if they think I'll ever trust them again.

Maybe Irrational wouldn't have released an unplayable game.

Less then 12 hours, more then 2... ive stopped counting - theres an article on gamestop about it that provides more info then we're getting here. Unfortunately, i'm too lazy to look for the link to post it

Just got off the phone to Tech Support, they say the servers went down at 7am and the engineers expect them up at around 1pm.

Have they never heard of backup servers?
